Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are currently able to pre-order from the INCREDIBLE Holiday Mini Catalog – so our mail deliveries are filled to the brim with festive, fun holiday goodies. While I’m not yet ready to cut into the new papers I’ve received (they are perfection), I’m anxious to start dabbling in Christmas projects. I’ve made this simple (but elegant) Christmas cards with a carryover pack of papers and a stamp set in the recent Online Exclusives offering. Here’s my card:
After I painted the trees and deer on a page of Basic White cardstock…OK, that’s not true. I simply cut the page from a gorgeous page in the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper…but I suspect you already knew that. 🙂 Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper, a carryover from last year’s Holiday Mini Catalog:
The pack of papers is filled with beautiful floral prints, leafy prints and landscapes. Here’s a closer look at the page I cropped to make the focal panel on my card (you could get 6 of this card from each page and 12 from each pack of papers):
I didn’t have to do too much to spruce up this card a bit. I framed the panel with Basic Black and added three simple words from the Iconic Imagery stamp set. I popped up the words with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and added three small, black Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems. Here’s a look at the Iconic Imagery Bundle, which is available now:
Here’s a closer look at the sentiment and deer on this card front:
I wouldn’t normally suggest a mix of three basic colors (Basic White, Basic Gray and Basic Black) for a Christmas card, but it really works well here. If you love this mix of Basic White, Basic Gray and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Stamps: Iconic Imagery Papers: Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Thick Basic White Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!
