DAY THREE: 2024 Summer One-for-One Card Swap – Kim Mettelman

Welcome to DAY THREE of the projects from my Summer 2024 One-for-One Card Swap. Over the past several weeks, I’ve been running to my mail box to collect the GORGEOUS cards you’ve sent for my Summer One-for-One Card Swap. Today I have the pleasure of sharing a very special card you. Yay! In a series of several posts over the next couple of weeks, I will share each of these beautiful cards with everyone. There’s so much wonderful inspiration to share!

Today I’m sharing one card – a warm, gorgeous card made Kim Mettelman. Kim’ cards showcases a fun twist on a common fancy fold, a bundle I love so much and a mix of colors that cannot be ignored. Here’s the front of the card Kim made for the One-for-One Swap:

How beautiful is this card?! I love the warm colors, the simple layout and the images on the front of this card. All are pulled from the Latte Love Bundle and the A Little Latte Designer Series Paper, Online Exclusives offerings that were introduced earlier this year. Here’s a look at the Latte Love Bundle:

If you thought the front of Kim’s card was beautiful (and I know you did), just wait until you see how it opens up. Here’s an “arial view” of this card:

At first sight, it seems like this card employs a standard z-fold – at second glance, there’s a little something extra to make this card a little more special. Here’s a look:

Inside the fold of the card is a little square piece of cardstock that collapses with the fold of the card but pops up when the card is opened. This little mechanism adds something really special to the fancy fold card. Love it!

Kim’s card showcases the page of Lost Lagoon stripes from the A Little Latte Designer Series Paper – and she builds her design with lots of Lost Lagoon. This lovely blue plays well with the warm browns in her card. If you like this mix of  as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
