On Monday I shared two projects from the Pumpkin in the Fungeon call I hosted with my Paper Pumpkin subscribers over the weekend. If you missed that post, you can see those projects here.
I had loads of fun with September’s Autumn Abundance kit – it’s such a fun mix of beautiful, Autumn images and an adorable snail (I’m saving him for another day). The designs celebrate gratitude and feature beautiful Fall images. This kit has something for everyone. Today I’m sharing two more cards I made with September’s kit, but the fun doesn’t stop there! I still have one more post later this week to share with you (a trio of cards that were unfinished at the time of my call).
More About The Kit
Here’s a look at the finished projects (as designed) from August’s Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Kit:
The designed projects are gorgeous (but you know I’m partial to Fall colors and images), but you know we love to make alternative projects with the goodies inside the box. More on those in just a moment. First, here’s a look at the sweet stamp set that accompanied this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit:
Alternative Projects
Here’s a look at the second batch of alternative projects I’m happy to share from the Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Kit:
Both of these cards features beautiful, leafy card fronts in the kit and a gorgeous sentiment from the coordinating stamp set. I want to give you a closer look at each of these projects and share a little bit more about the products I used to create them.
Thinking of You (in Blue)
The first card features a beautiful arrangement of leaves from one of the card bases in the kit. I cropped the card panel to 3-3/4″ x 5″ and framed it with a small border of Night of Navy cardstock. The sentiment is heat embossed with white Wow! Embossing powder and cropped with a circle from the Everyday Details Dies. I cropped a larger circle with the 2-3/8″ Circle punch and a piece of vellum from the Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty Paper. Here’s a closer look at this card:
What you might not be able to tell from the picture above is that I embossed the entire panel with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder, new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2024 Holiday Mini Catalog. Here’s a closer look at the gorgeous texture I added to this panel:
Here’s a look at this embossing folder:
I sprinkled my card with four Night of Navy dots from the Ombre Matte Decorative Dots to finish it off.
Thinking of You (in Copper)
One of the cards in the Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Kit is a 4″ square card with a 2-1/2″ circle cropped out of the center. With a little trimming, a few accents and a new base panel, I created this card:
You might not be able to see from this picture, but there’s a fancy fold card behind that front panel (I’m well known for my fancy folds…). The base of this card is a 4″ x 8″ piece of of Cajun Craze scored at 4″ and cropped along one side – more on that in a just a second. The focal panel on the front of this card is glued to that base and opens from the left. Here’s how the focal panel of this card opens up:
Behind the focal panel is a Cajun Craze piece from the kit that I cropped to a 3-1/4″ square and added a band of Copper Clay Designer Series Paper. The 2″ circle is punch from Very Vanilla cardstock and added to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Cajun Craze panel behind that piece is cut from the top, left corner to about 1″ from the bottom, right side. Here’s how that piece opens:
That’s plenty of room for a great sentiment or note inside. 🙂
I sprinkled my card with copper sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins – what a great tone to coordinated with these rich, Autumn tones!
