I needed a small handful of thank you notes for some special friends (not all of my friends are stampers, but all of my friends love to receive a hand-stamped card). I reached for three stamp sets, three colors and three adhesive-backed rhinestones to make this sweet card:
I punched a 2-3/8″ circle from a 3-1/2″ x 5″ piece of scrap cardstock so I could easily align it on one half of a Basic White Note Card and add Bubble Bath ink with a Blending Brush. That soft circle gave me a perfect foundation for a cupcake and a sweet sentiment. The two-step stamping cupcake is from the Pocket Thoughts Bundle – here’s a look at that bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s 2024 Annual Catalog:
I stamped the cupcake with Memento Tuxedo Black ink over the Bubble Bath circle, allowing a small part of the cupcake to hang over the edge of the circle. I added Fresh Freesia frosting to the cupcake for another soft tone that complements the pink base beneath it. Here’s a closer look:
The sentiment on my card is build with two words from two stamp sets – “sweet” is from Ice Cream Swirl. I isolated the single word by inking the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then adding tape over the first part of the sentiment. Here’s a look at the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set:
The second word on my card (“FRIEND”) is pulled from the Everyday Greetings stamp set. I love the mix of styles in these words (they look like they were made for each other). Here’s a look at the Everyday Greetings stamp set:
I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add a little extra shine to my note cards. How sweet are they?!
Stamps: Pocket Thoughts, Ice Cream Swirl, Everyday Greetings Papers: Basic White Note Cards & Envelopes Inks: Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Small Blending Brushes, 2-3/8″ Circle Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels
I hope you love these little note cards as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping by today!
