We’re Otterly Cute Together

It happens every time. I wanted to make a quick, simple card with the otters in the Otterly Adorable Suite Collection (released as an Online Exclusives offering earlier this month). I added one thing then changed another and then switched the colors around and added cording and embellishments. By the time the card was done, it didn’t resemble the card I set out to make. I’m pretty happy with the end result, and I’m excited to share it with you today. Here’s my Otterly Adorable card:

My card started with the pair of otters in the circle at the center of the card. The otters and the panel of marine plants are pulled from the Otterly Adorable Designer Series Paper, a pack that’ full of cute images (and some really beautiful patterns). Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Otterly Adorable Designer Series Paper:

I punched out the pair with a 2″ Circle Punch and then framed them with a Petal Pink Stylish Shapes circle die. Here’s a closer look at the pair:

Otterly Amazing, Stampin Up, Brian King, Cute Valentine's Day card How cute are they?! I couldn’t resist the “we’re cute together” sentiment so I stamped it on a strip of Petal Pink cardstock. I also pulled elements from the Otterly Adorable Suite Collection to accent my card – the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording is SO LUSCIOUS, and the Riverside Irregular Pearls add a lovely shine and texture. Here’s a look at all of the products in the Otterly Adorable Suite Collection:

I didn’t initially set out to make such a romantic card, but I knew the cording would add something special, so I reached for my Hearts of Elegance Dies (that were released in a different Suite Collection at the same time as the Otterly Adorable Suite) to accent my card and add to the fun sentiment. Here’s a look at the Hearts of Elegance Bundle:

If you like this mix of Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
