Love You Friend with Everyday Happiness

Since the very moment I saw the Scrapbooking Brochure that accompanies the Spring Mini, Online Exclusives and Sale-a-Bration (all of them launched on January 7), I was antsy to get my hands on the Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper. During my lunch hour yesterday, I made my way to the craft table and made this card with a gorgeous design from this new pack of papers:

Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper:

I love all of these designs, but I’m particularly drawn to the watercolor-striped page with leaves and dots – the colors are beautiful together, and the design is a perfect backdrop for a simple saying. I didn’t want to minimize the beauty of the stripes, so I showcased them on a 7″ x 8-1/2″ card (scored at 3-1/2″) that will fit inside a standard business envelope (or an envelope you make with a coordinating page).

I built a perfect-for-Valentine’s-Day sentiment with the Friends for Life Bundle from the Annual Catalog. Even the heart behind the sentiment is from this bundle. Both layers of “friend” and the heart were cropped with the dies and an Adhesive Sheet. I stamped “LOVE YOU” with Pretty Peacock on Very Vanilla cardstock and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Here’s a look at this versatile bundle:

I added five Antique Pearls to my card to add a little shine. Their pearly finish allows them to perfectly coordinate with a card with Basic White or Very Vanilla. I LOOOOVE the mix of blues and yellows in the Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper – that’s one of the reasons I love this pack of papers so much. If you love this mix of Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Wild Wheat as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
