Before I share today’s project, I want to give a big “thank you!” to the Freshly Made Sketches team (and especially Linda) for recognizing my project for last week’s challenge as a runner up in the challenge. I don’t play the challenges with an expectation of being recognized (I appreciate the inspiration), but it’s always nice to be selected. If you missed that post, you can see it here.
I’ve leaned on the Freshly Made Sketches team for a starting inspiration for the project I’ve made to share with you today – another simple challenge with endless possibilities. Here’s the card I made with the Serene Love Designer Series Paper and Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:
Here’s a look at the sketch by Jen Timko for this week’s FMS 673 challenge (you can see the projects by the design team and other participants in the challenge by clicking here):
My card features a cluster of flowers cut from the Serene Love Designer Series Paper, a pack of papers introduced in December with a Limited Release of Designer Series Papers. This paper was originally offered with black-and-white patterns but was re-introduced with a mix of Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy and Old Olive patterns. Here’s a look at the color and patterns in this gorgeous pack of papers.
If you love these papers as much as I do, please note that they are currently in the Last Change Products area of the online store and are marked at 30% off (the pack of papers is only $8.75). Nice! Here’s a closer look at the cluster of Lost Lagoon flowers at the heart of my card:
The flowers are positioned over two panels of Lost Lagoon designs from the Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper – each is the gorgeous side of the same page. NOTE: while the Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper came back in stock this week, it’s on the “low inventory” list at the time I’m writing this post. If you want a pack of this paper, I suggest you place an order RIGHT NOW. ♥ Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this incredible pack of papers:
The sentiment on my card is stamped with the My Small Business stamp set. You might think you don’t need it if you don’t run a small business – but there are a lot of beautiful thank you sentiments in this set! Don’t sleep on My Small Business. 🙂 I added three Riverside Irregular Pearls to add a little shine to my card. I love these Lost Lagoon pearls – a perfect accent to my mostly Lost Lagoon card.
Stamps: My Small Business Papers: Serene Love Designer Series Paper, Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Basic Gray, Basic White Inks: Versamark Accessories: Riverside Irregular Pearls, Wow! White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!

Beauty of a card!!
I like the two DSPs and the font of the sentiment. Very pretty. Enjoy your day!
Gorgeous card. Blues are my favorite.
That plaid paper the perfect backdrop for those flowers. Such a serene card
This card is Stunning!!
You sing the blues beautifully! I love love love this!
I love the peaceful look of the layers in Lost Lagoon! The flowers are lovely on top of the classic patterns. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Something so dramatic about monochromatic cards and then you added all that fabulous pattern and texture. Really lovely! So glad you joined us this week at FMS!
