Be Inspired by Celebrations

It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!

For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are creating projects inspired by celebrations – how could I NOT reach for Sale-a-Bration goodies during this last week of Sale-a-Bration?! Thank goodness there were so many celebratory products in the Sale-a-Bration lineup to choose from – I combined three of them on the card I made to share with you today.

Time To Celebrate

The card I’ve created for you is a big pink-and-purple celebration that features three Sale-a-Bration products you’ll want to add to your stash before the week is up. I’ve also included a sneak peek at an Online Exclusives product that will be available starting next week – you’ll also want this item in your stash. Here’s the card I made to share with you today: The butterfly is built with the Beautiful Butterflies Dies, and the GORGEOUS sentiment is pulled from the coordinating stamp set. Here’s a look at the incredible Beautiful Butterflies Bundle (say that five times fast): The butterfly at center of my card is build with four layers of cardstock – each layer adds a special touch to the sweet, winged insect. Here’s a closer look: From the top, here’s a rundown of the layers:

• Blackberry Bliss – the abdomen and antennae are cropped with a single die from the Beautiful Butterflies Dies.
• Melon Mambo – the detailed wings are a single die from the Beautiful Butterflies Dies. This layer is glued to the layer beneath in the center beneath the butterfly’s abdomen.
• Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty – since vellum cardstock has retired, I’ve reached for the textured white pages from the Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty Paper that’s now on the Last Chance list. This vellum offers a soft, sweet base for the butterfly.
• Bubble Bath – The vellum got lost against the white card panel, so I added a layer of Bubble Bath cardstock in the same shape as the vellum to set it apart from the white layer. Just what I needed!

Here’s what you need to know about this bundle – the stamp set is offered as a Sale-a-Bration freebie through Friday (when Sale-a-Bration ends). The coordinating dies are “low inventory” as I write this post Tuesday night. You can earn the stamp set (#168092) during Sale-a-Bration with a $60 order. To complete the set, you can also buy the dies (#164614). My butterfly is positioned over a nest of watercolor spots from the Elements of Text stamp set. Not only did I need to temper the pinks and purples a bit, but I needed to soften the white base. Here’s a look at this stamp set: The white panel on my card is cropped with the Textured Notes Dies, a must-have set of rectangle dies with patterned edges, from the upcoming Online Exclusives launch. Here’s a look at this new bundle (go ahead and add it to your wish list): I mentioned at the top of the post that my card featured three Sale-a-Bration items. Did you find them all?
