Card Starters from Amazing Friends: Day 4

A Little Background…

To foster a “last minute push” toward my milestone sales goal in January, I offered an event I called Brian’s Big Bundle Bonanza to anyone who purchased a bundle from me during the last week. I hosted the Zoom call this past weekend with incredible friends who supported my last-minute push – and we all had SO MUCH FUN!

Before the call, I mailed out little envelopes of “card guts” (random pieces of Designer Series Papers, cardstock and die-cut shapes) and asked the participants to make a card with the bits and pieces I sent to them. Some made multiple cards. What made it really fun for me – each envelope was different from the others (although several contained similar products), but all of the cards were different! I encouraged participants to incorporate whatever products they wanted to build a card that made them happy.

Participants shared their finished projects on Saturday’s call (along with the projects we completed during the call). I’m so happy to share a handful of their projects here today. I’ll share more of them in the coming week, so be on the lookout!

Donna Dew

Here are the Card Starters goodies I mailed to Donna ahead of our weekend call:

I wasn’t sure these patterns and pieces would work well together, but Donna made a gorgeous card with them! Such fun! Here’s her card:

Judy Grinnell

Here’s a look at the “card guts” I mailed to Judy:

Judy used all sides of the Designer Series Paper I sent her to weave an incredible pattern on the card she made. How happy is this card?!

Noelle Albano

Here’s a look at the collection of bits and pieces I mailed to Noelle:

Noelle built her cards with the tall strips of papers and built sweet arrangements at the center of each. She added a little texture and a little shine to each of her cards. Here are Noelle’s cards:

Holly Kazarinoff

Here’s a look at the “card guts” I mailed to Holly:

Holly reached for the Happy Hibiscus Bundle to decorate these pieces on the card she created. Those layers are perfect for her beautiful arrangement of flowers and sweet sentiment – such a great use of these papers!

Jennifer Smith

Here’s a look at the collection of “card guts” I mailed to Jennifer:

Like many of the others who participated in this challenge, Jennifer didn’t make one card – she made THREE. Each of the cards Jennifer made is different from the other two. I love that! Here are the cards Jennifer made with the pieces I sent her:

These are such great cards, don’t you think?! I had fun mailing out the little packets and was thrilled to  receive the cards over the past couple of weeks. I’m excited to be able to share them with you. Please leave a comment to let these artists know how much you appreciate their designs.
