Despite placing a big pre-order in the early morning of April 1, I somehow missed adding the Eyelet Blooms Die – April’s Product of the Month that can be picked up for just $5 with a $75 order. The large, detailed die can’t be missed!
When my second order of the month arrived this weekend – with the new die, of course – I couldn’t help but play. ♥
Here’s a card I made to showcase the beautiful details in the Eyelet Blooms Die:
The 3″ x 5-1/8″ Daffodil Delight panel on my card was cropped with the Eyelet Blooms Die and mounted on another piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock. I framed the panel with Basic White and layered it over a mix of Daffodil Delight patterns for a lovely, coordinated backdrop.

When I reached for my Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper, I was gunning for the page of yellow stripes – and was pleasantly surprised by another Daffodil Delight pattern in the pack. It worked perfectly with the details in the die!

I added two white flowers and Granny Apple Green leaves to my yellow panel – a crisp contrast – along with a simple sentiment from the Lovely Arrangements Bundle. The die with connected circles is what first drew me to this bundle, but I quickly fell in love with the flowers and sentiments, too.

Great card! I’ve had this bundle and been using it in several ways but the way you used the Mixed DSP and the new die are stunning! Thanks for showing how this product of the month( die) can be utilized. I read on a blog that the die cuts out better with die cut facing up with cardstock on top! Did you encounter any issues?
I had heard that too, Dawn. I’ve only used my die a couple of times so far, and I decided to try it face down as I normally would and see what the result was. I have to report that in my experience, it is working well and most of the “bits” have come out without me needing to use the Take Your Pick tool very much…a few little stragglers, but overall, I’ve had good luck.
Same! Both worked well for me. Upside down gave me a little less to clean from the cardstock, but I didn’t notice a huge difference. Thanks, Tam!
Thanks, Dawn! Funny you should mention that. I cut one with the die facing down (project to be shared tomorrow). This one was cut with the sharp part up. It was easier to clean with the sharp parts up. 🙂

Choice with the die. I use parchment paper when using a die with so much detail.
And, using it face up often works well too! Lots of choices to play!
I was thinking of running the die cut side up. Also thought of using a dryer sheet to catch all of those little eyelets.
Smart! It cut great both ways for me.
I played both ways (up and down) and found they both worked about the same. Up gave me less clean up in the cardstock, but I love this die. Thanks, Barbara! ♥

You know that moment, when you see a card and think, “I have everything to make this!” (Thank goodness for paper shares!) I enjoyed making it, except for the fact that I am *covered* in eyelets! It was worth it. 😆 What a gorgeous card.
