Let’s Hear it for Debbie!

If you’ve been following Stamp With Brian, then you know this blog is a true passion for me. I love to share new projects and ideas with you kind folks who have taken the time out of your busy days to read my words and study my projects. I also love to entertain you with stories about my dull life and to give you pointers that have helped me in my card making adventures.

Blogging programs offer statistics to bloggers to let us know how many views we’ve had on our blog and how many subscribers we have at any moment. I remember when I first saw that I had 15 blog subscribers. 15! I bounced around the room, crazy about the idea that 15 people want to hear what I have to say – paying no mind to the fact that I forced Mom and approximately 14 of my friends to sign up that first day. There were 15 subscribers! Crazy town!

Several months later, I am so happy to say that my subscribers total has toppled over 500. That’s an absolutely crazy number to me. I am so thankful to each and every one of you who follows me and participates in my blog. I have followers in the U.S., Canada, the UK and Australia. Today, though, I want to celebrate Debbie Hughes, my new friend from Montvale, New Jersey. Debbie is my 500th subscriber. Like the 100,000th shopper at the local grocery store, I want to raise balloons and drop confetti from the ceiling in celebration of Debbie (OK, maybe I’d just drop streamers because they would be much easier to clean up). I wrote to her and asked her to send me a picture and share a bit about herself. I thought it would be fun to share with you.

She didn’t have a picture to send me, so here’s what I think she looks like:

A teddy bear enthusiast, Debbie first fell in love with Button Bear back in the late ’90’s and has been crazy about Stampin’ Up! ever since. Debbie loves making 3D items and makes most of her own cards throughout the year. She works at a school and makes beautiful projects for the teachers and children. Debbie has a son in college and a daughter in high school, so you know she keeps busy! She participates in a stamp club in her hometown and gets together with friends monthly to make cool projects. At her next meeting, she plans to tell everyone how totally awesome www.stampwithbrian.com is – a breath of fresh air for her every day. ***OK, I made up that last part, but my fingers are crossed that it will happen***

If I were to ask Debbie, she would probably insist that I not spend this entire entry talking about her. As a result, I’m going to share a sneak peek of tomorrow’s “I Pinned It. Let’s Do It!” project (this is where I actually complete projects with the ideas I’ve liked or repinned from Pinterest). I hope you like it, and I hope you come back tomorrow to see the full project:

  18. Well,I`m back… and I will try to not make this a commentary instead of a comment. You are building a following because of your interest and obvious desire to help others over the hurtles and frustations that can keep someone from trying a new project or thoroughly enjoying the art of crafting and creating . I caught on very fast that this isn`t the typical ho hum blog by what you offered and your interaction with your readers. That`s what makes it alive plus your smashing sense of humor and your hunky picture!!!!! I am in and out of here just to read others comments during the day. It`s kinda like the green room at the television shows . LOL….

  19. Congrats on #500, Brian! Your enthusiasm is SO contagious, you may hit that 100,000 mark and HAVE to do the confetti and streamers!!
Looking forward to tomorrow’s card! –Terri
