On Sunday, I made a quick “for you” card for a friend who recently became quite an overnight internet sensation. I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention to the news lately, but Carol Carriveau recently won a brand new Stampin’ Trimmer from stampwithbrian.com. What an amazing accomplishment!
I didn’t want to make a “plain ole’ card” for Carol, so I pulled out some of my new supplies that will be available in the 2013 Spring Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration. Carol may have snagged the gift that originally had your name on it, but consider this card my gift to you – a sneak peek at some new products headed your way in January:
Do you spot the newbies?
- Pretty Petites Stamp Set. For starters, there’s a new stamp set (one of the items you can earn during Sale-a-Bration starting at the end of January). The set contains several sentiments and patterns in this pretty, petite shape. How do you guess they named this set?
- Petite Curly Punch. That’s right! There’s a punch that coordinates with this stamp set, and it’s also one of the items you can earn during Sale-a-Bration. The punch appears to be the Mini-Me sidekick of the Curly Label punch. The punch layers nicely with the Curly punch, but it also layers nicely on this Circle punch.
- Borders Scoring Plate for the Simply Scored. I know you noticed the dry embossed zigzag pattern on the band of this card. There are all sorts of shapes and patterns on the new scoring plate for the Simply Scored. For this band, I scored the zigzag, flipped the paper over and then scored double lines on either side of it with the base of the Simply Scored. I really like the look of this pattern. What do you think?
Stamp Set: Pretty Petites Papers: Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White Inks: Island Indigo Accessories: Petite Curly Label, 1-1/4″ Circle punch, 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle punch, Borders Scoring Plate, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Brian
Love it and thanks for sharing the new products that will be available with your card you posted today. Has always FANTASTIC!
hmm loving the borders embossing!…. 😀 Well all of it really 😉
I picked up on the newbies right away. I can’t count the times I’ve looked at the new spring catalog admiring all the goodies. Then, I get the Sale-A-Bration in the mail yesterday! Whoo Hoo! Another great card and love the color combo.
Love the colors, the scallop, and the zigzag!!!
love it!
Love your design. You always have such beautiful cards. What size are your pieces on the front? Lucky limeade and whisper white? It is a great fit.
Hey Gigi! I usually trim the paper in at equal intervals (base is 5-1/2″x4-1/4″, so the next piece is 5-1/4″x4″, followed by 5″x3-03/4″). I think I accidentally trimmed the belly too short, so I took the Limeade and White pieces in an additional snidge (about a quarter of an inch). I often times have to play around with the sizes so that they aren’t standard. I was happy with how the Inidgo has a broader base here. My mistake made it better. 🙂
Don’t you just love “happy” accidents?!! I do too!! I grabbed up a bunch of these {except for the scoring plate…darn!} so I’m going to CASE your card for my next post…LOVE it!!
This card is SUPER TERRIFIC !!! The colors are great…. it is so neat… and I mean that literally . It has a lot going on but, it comes off as a CAS to perfection …sometimes CAS cards come off looking like the card maker just ran out of stuff to use… I am getting excited about the new catty coming …it`s like waiting on Santa … a new punch is coming …golly I have to stop buying xmas presents so I can buy new SU toys after Christmas !!!
Cute card, Brian. Love the new borders scoring plate … and mini-curly punch, too, of course. I’ve always loved punches.
You have such an eye! Well two as far as I know! But you really did it with that embossing plate. I’ve seen others use it and was not impressed…it didn’t fit where they put it. But you put it on the band and it serves it’s purpose! You’ve done it again. Now I want to buy one, yesterday it was in my no way list.
Oh, I love that embossing plate, super cool designs. I also can’t wait for the Sale-a-bration catalog, sheeesh!! it’s indeed like waiting for Santa. I don’t know if SU came up with an exagon punch or die, it will be awesome if they did. Did you asked what would be our favorite tool to buy some time ago? I think for me it was the exagon punch for sure.
Nice! I love the hip colors and the CAS layout. The would be a great layout for mass production cards such as Christmas thank you’s. Love the embossing on the band. Thanks for sharing.
Adorable card, Brian! Thanks for the sneak peeks!
What do I think? Mag!! (As in magnificent!)
Oh Brian, you are sooo adorable and sweet – I can’t wait to receive this card (and of course the new Trimmer!)…so that I can touch and feel it in my own two hands…! I love the colors and so many of the new products…I’m working on my 3rd list for the new catty….bad girl and sad credit card balance…LOL! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Leave it to you Brian….to give us something AWESOME!m I love these colors and I was not going to get that new scoring plate….hmmm… I might have to rethink that! Love your card! Thanks for the SP. 🙂
