Paper-Piercing & a Video Tutorial

On Sunday, I introduced you to this card I made for The Paper Players’ clean and simple sketch challenge:www.stampwithbrian.com - CAS Valentine

As many of you guessed (you’re good, you’re real good!), I used my paper-piercing tool to create the shape of the heart and then covered the pierced holes with pearls. How easy is that?! I also promised I’d share my quick video tutorial that covers the basics of paper-piercing. Paper-piercing is a quick and easy way to add a “wow” factor to any card – AND the tools are inexpensive.

Here’s my video tutorial:

And here’s another card I made with this paper-piercing technique:www.stampwithbrian.com - Cheers!

  3. Loveeeeed the video and my fav pearl heart card! Also you did it again with taking a product and finding an alternate use for it. Demos across the world are punching holes in their paper and what do you do, you come along and teach us to Bling it! Can’t wait to try this, also loved the rhinestones around the ticket punch. You gave the paper piercer a new name and SU should reward you kindly for revealing it is really a bling placement tool! You are the greatest, thanks for the video!

  4. Great intro. Subtitles…luv them. The whole video, awesome. Did Bandit have a paw in helping you produce this video? Enjoy your day.

  8. Absolutely wonderful video, Brian! I always knew to use the paper punch for holes where I needed them {brads, or just holes}, but never thought to use them for pearls or rhinestones…had always “eyeballed” it for placement. You are a pure genius! So love your videos, antics, and captions! Keep up the good work!

  9. I love it too!!!!! These group of piercing templates really are useful, I don’t think I would have been able to line up all those pearls without the perfectly pierced little holes.
Now, about your video…..as always, very informative, well done and fun my dear but, I think I detected something on your face, like a little smirk, hmmmmm…..it looks like you were trying to compose yourself after laughing or something like that so, if there is another blooper of this video tutorial, Oh, please, let us see it. I go back to your first one almost every day Brian and each time, I can’t help but laugh out loud. Was your mom helping you again?? Maybe she was because, oh! that look on your face…..very familiar.
    Bless your sweet pearly heart.

  10. HI Brian: Well, you’ve given me the little push I needed to dig out my piercing mat and tool. I’ve had them for a while but they are not staring me in the face so I forget about them. Out of sight, out of mind. So – I’m going to dig them out and wait for my new templates that are coming with my SAB order. If I leave them on my workspace I may even remember I have them and to use them. Shame on me for being so forgetful. By the way, loved the video. You are the best.

  11. LOVE the video! Not only did the subtitles make it fun, but I also learned a lot. Like Grace said, I’m going to have to dig out my piercing mat and tool. You enabler you — now I know that I NEED some of the new templates! :o)
