Back in January, you helped me to celebrate Jude and Jonas’ birthday, and in February you helped me celebrate Janelle’s. Today, it’s Jarah’s turn to soak up the birthday wishes. Jarah is the older sister of Jude and Jonas and Janelle’s daughter. Jarah is such a girly-girl. Since she was able to walk, Jarah has loved to dress up in princess costumes and dance around the room. She’s a smart cookie, that one. Here’s my card for Jarah:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders:
- Stamp, punch, assemble. Create a Cupcake and the Cupcake Builder Punch have been around for a while – two of the items on my very first order in 2012. They’ve been around so long, though, that you don’t normally see samples with them. That’s too back because it makes for an adorable focal point on a project. It’s as easy as stamp, punch and assemble.
- Let the DSP make your color selections. Here’s another Designer Series Paper I’ve been holding on to and haven’t yet used. This is the project it’s been waiting for. The blue, green and yellow stripes are soft, while the red stripe really pops. So beautiful – especially for a vibrant birthday card.
- Line it up! The horizontal stripes are the perfect accent for this card. My original design had the cupcake perfectly lined up with the sentiment and the sentiment at an angle on the card. In the end, I opted to line up the sentiment straight on the card and let the cupcake tilt a little to the right. This leaves everything lined up and a cupcake with a little pop of whimsy.

Stamp Sets: Create a Cupcake, Make a Wish Inks: Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party Papers: Riding Hood Red, Pool Party, Whisper White, Storytime Designer Series Paper Accessories: Build a Cupcake punch, 3″ Circle Originals die, 2-1/2″ Circle punch, Pearl Basic Jewels, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Please help me to wish Jarah a Happy Birthday!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Happy Birthday Jarah! I Love this cupcake with the little flower adornment!
I am guilty of not using the cupcake punch much either. Will have to blow off the dust and put into production. Happy Birthday Jarah! How lucky she is to receive your card. Like it very much!
Happy Birthday Jarah !! How old is little Miss Jarah ? Cute card …I like the tilted cupcake ! It gives the card some personality !! I do not use my cupcake punch much but, I am glad I have it .
I have used it for other things like a cloud…a vase …the bottom of a hot air balloon …. there are probably other shapes that I haven`t discovered yet . I like it when a punch can be used more than one way …. Happy Saturday !
I would have guessed she’s 23, but she’s 8 today. Jarah calls me “BK” because that’s what her Mom calls me. When Jarah was much younger, Janelle said “do you want to talk to Brian?” Jarah said, “Brian?!? OH! You mean BK!” Love her!
Thank you Uncie Baba! (Jarah’s first name for Brian). As always we loved receiving your artwork. Off to celebrate our special day!!
