I’m excited to share another Christmas card today – yet another card that’s been simmering on the back burner for quite some time. It combines two ideas that have been on my callback list and have finally made it to the main stage.
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Make this paper shine. From the moment I saw this paper in Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, I knew it was destined for something great. I knew I’d have to use it in a way that would really let it shine. Although the rhinestones don’t photograph well, they really help to boost the energy that’s already present in these bursts of Smoky Slate bursts. They also give this card a tufted look, don’t you think?
- A little shade. This beautiful stamp set is one of the holiday-themed single stamps Stampin’ Up! is currently offering. The word “season” is designed with striped letters. To add a little more color (without having to add more color) – if you are stopping to re-read that because it makes no sense, I understand, but keep reading – I simply stamped the image and then used a Blender Pen to color the insides of the letters. With tiny circles, I pulled the Cherry Cobbler ink into the center of the letters. Just a little shading makes a difference.

- Note to self. Don’t forget to pick up rhinestones on my next Stampin’ Up! order.
Stamp sets: Magical Season (single stamp) Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, Whisper White Inks: Cherry Cobbler Accessories: Ovals Collection Framelits, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Blender Pen

The best part, though, is that you can be a part of my team. 🙂 SIGN UP HERE or contact me at [email protected] with questions about this no-strings-attached promotion.
An amazing promotion – starts tomorrow! As you know, we’ve been celebrating Stampin’ Up!’s 25th anniversary all year long. Tomorrow (October 22) I will share a list of 25 stamp sets that will be marked 25% of between tomorrow and October 28. I’ll be offering some incentives, too, so make your list of stamp sets you want – you will likely be able to mark some of those stamps off your list on October 22. Yipee!

Aw shucks ! I thought the big sale started today ! Will we be able to add these stamps to our November orders for the club ? Oh and your card is really pretty . I bet it is a wowie in the real !! Would you believe that the single stamps completely slipped my mind !! I guess I should go look them over again .
Love, love the bling, even if it covers the entire card, it doesn’t look overwhelming. I also think that, in person, this card must be stunning. The DSP is one of my favorite, truly elegant and beautiful. I’m so glad the back burner of your very creative mind is always, always simmering away with new and fabulous ideas for you to share with us and for that, I thank you.
Such a beautiful card! I love all of your bling and I’m sure it looks amazing in person. You are such a clever buy! Enjoy your day! 🙂
Very nice!
This card is gorgeous!!!!!
Would you believe it Brian, we used the Winter Frost DSP’s at craft club on Saturday and Vicki and I said that this was our favourite design! I love how you’ve made it zing! Think I’ll be ordering a few thousand gems now…!
PS you know you say tom-ay-to and we say tom-ar-to? Well I’ve been wondering. You say Fall and we say Autumn. Does this mean that you don’t have the word autumnal in your vocabulary? I just have to know…!
We mix it up between Fall and Autumn in the states. Both are the same. I usually say Autumn, but Fall works so well with Y’all. 🙂
omg you beat me to it Lorraine! As soon as I saw this one it got saved to my ‘to case’ file!
You were the one I told “this particular paper design is the main reason I bought this pack” to at saturdays class!
And Brian – Lorraine won the spare kit our Demo Jo had put together, so she ended up with spare papers 🙂
Perfection! Simply elegant. Love it.
Wowza! A very nifty idea! It does look like tufting and it is cool!
Just gorgeous! Love the beautiful sentiment and all the lovely rhinestones!
Love this card……Can’t wait to try one.
This is a fantabulous card – love all the bling! 🙂
Holy Moly! You not only went crazy with rhinestones, but you transformed paper into art! Love it! I really like the single stamps — they are a great buy and I keep them in clear cases. Don’t forget to put more rhinestones on your order. Ann Schach will be so proud of your bling, and you should make Mary Fish proud of the simplicity.
Holy buckets of rhinestones Brian! Gorgeously stunning! You are a rhinestone fanatic like me! Thanks for sharing with us.
wowzer! would love to see this in person this evening, if for no other reason than to count the rhinestones used! {:-)} wondering if it should go in a padded envelope for mailing. definitely will have to be hand cancelled, but what a stunner!
Love it!
