With all the wonderful Valentine’s Day products released in December, it’s difficult to NOT find what you need for February 14. The variety is really pretty great. Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Color Combination. Let’s be honest – the stamps are awesome, and the layout is awesome, but this card is all about the colors. Anytime a rich, regal color can be successfully paired with a soft, subtle color, eureka is reached. Wisteria Wonder and Cherry Cobbler are a dynamic pairing. Because Whisper White and Very Vanilla (I tried both) steal away the attention, I decided to heat emboss Cherry Cobbler directly on the Wisteria Wonder. Score!
- Hearts on Repeat. The Flowerfull Heart is a great stamp for either an accent or a feature on a card. And it fits perfectly inside the Hearts Collection Framelits. While the tilted heart on the base of the card steals the show on this card, I wanted to also feature the gorgeous, narrow sentiment (that was lost in a sea of simplicity). That’s when I added a Cherry Cobbler heart, punched with the Small Heart punch. The repetition of shapes draws the eye upward so that the sentiment can share the spotlight.
- Shoutout for another Great Stamp Set. Do you recognize the “love” sentiment? A larger version of the sentiment is included in a retired stamp set, but this smaller version is included in Best of Love, one of this year’s 25th Anniversary stamp sets. All of these sets are available until March 31, 2014. That means this set is PERFECT for Valentine’s Day. Woo hoo! Check out the other images here.

This is indeed an unusual color combo …but, after seeing the purple wreath with the red lights in a store before Christmas I would venture to say this is the trend and it`s a delight . I like it ! Cute card !
Scrumptious! The colors remind me of the tiny little hearts that come out for Valentines day. I have used the love sentiment so many times. I really love it. I don’t have the Flowerful Heart stamp, it may just make my list. You did it again.
I love all the shades of purple and this one is really beautiful. The combination of it and the Cherry Cobbler is indeed unusual but here it works perfectly. I love the way the word LOVE is heat embossed, it’s a very sweet detail. Thank you for the inspiration Brian, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Time sure flies!!

So happy to finally be able to get on line. I have lots of your back posts to check out and tons of mail to get through. It sure as heck won’t happen in a single day. This card is extraordinary! I love the new stamps and can’t wait to get an order sent it but I may be waiting until Sale-A-Bration to use up the Christmas monies. I was in BK withdrawal for several days. Another storm coming Sunday and this might bring down more trees therefore causing more power outages.
