Stamping Space: a Tour

A lot of my time at home is spent in my stamping space, the dark basement that I affectionately refer to as The Fungeon.  “The Fungeon” is a magical place where cards are created and a mystical place visited by only a few.

People love to walk through other people’s craft spaces, so I thought you’d like to see where I stamp.  Watch this video and then continue reading this post:

We have to have a little fun every once in a while, right?  While I was in Tucson, Arizona this past weekend, I had a little fun in Mary Fish’s Stamping Studio.  She’s been finishing this room in her new house for the past couple of months, and it couldn’t be more amazing!

I hope you enjoyed today’s video!  🙂

  1. Thanks for the laugh on this sunny day here in the Netherlands.
I really thought it was your stampingroom until Mary stepped into the room ;o)))

  2. You got me Brian! I was watching, thinking “Amazing – he’s copied Mary Fish’s craft room!!!” But I trusted you! Never again! And I hope you got your wrist slapped for not putting away that swatch book!!!

    • OMG how gullible – I even missed the “it’s so dark down here” clue while you’re standing right next to a bright sunny window…in a basement? Going back to bed and starting the day again…

  3. Thanks for the humour!

  4. Love Mary’s room . Where did she find those wonderful shelves for paper and for inks and punches.
After watching your fun video, I clicked on your video of using the stampamajig. Have just bought mine and I thank you for the hints.
PS I’m in Australia and really love you cards. I also have Mary’s blog delivered to my email box. I am in awe of your talents!

  5. At first I was like “that looks as good as Mary’s, heist have remodeled” byhenbibsawvthe three vases over the stamping spaces and figured it out. How cute!

  7. Yes Brian, I was so excited to see your stampin space. I too thought you were so lucky to have a space similar to Mary’s, but was totally surprised by the ending. Great job. 🙂

  8. LOVE it!!!! What fun!

  9. Well Brian, at first look I kind of recognized Mary’s stamping room, I’ve followed the remodel since she mentioned but non the less, I enjoyed this video my dear, it’s a keeper, this is such a treat, to have you and her together making us laugh.
I bet you had a blast visiting with her. Thank you for sharing this super fun video, I must go and thank Mary for her participation.

  10. Too funny Brian! Now for your punishment you have to take us on a real tour of the Fungeon, including Bandit lounging around on your craft table while you’re trying to work. I bet you had a blast at Mary’s house.

  11. You are too much Brian. Now, go home and show us what really is in the Fungeon!

  12. You got me too, Brian, even though I’ve been drooling over Mary’s re-model too! Thanks for the smile 🙂

  17. Sorry Brian, when I first glanced at the tittle of your blog today, I read “Stamping in Space” and my only thought was what was he doing now? Space Camp? Don’t judge…it’s early here and I slept in my contacts! I did watch the video and it was a hoot!

  18. OK, now I’m visiting YOUR turf! You are the best, B (and are the first to tell me that).

  19. Oh my gosh! This was too funny! I was about to hate you for having such a clean and organized stamping space. I bought it hook, line and sinker, even though I’ve seen Mary’s new space. I’m going to have to visit the Fungeon to beat you (on camera, of course).

  20. Funny ! I think you and Mary should do more videos …. We could call it “The Funny Mooners”. I was thinking that this must be a re do because we have seen some of the Fungeon and I don`t think this is it ??? Loved it !

  21. Just posted a comment on the wrong post … you can delete. 🙂

I’ll say it again. I’m JEALOUS that you got a tour before me! You are hilarious.

  31. Brian your sense of humor definitely shines through in this video. I don’t know about you, but I sure wish I could wiggle my nose (Samantha Stephens style ) and make that my craft room.

  32. That was funny!! As I was watching, I thought….hmmmm….Mary Fish has all that same stuff in HER room, too….

When do we get to see YOUR Fungeon?

  39. That was very cute. Her studio is fabulous and I am sure you have a wonderful studio also. I enjoyed meeting you in person in Tucson this weekend. You are indeed a celebrity.

  40. Too Funny!!! Thanks for the big laugh…….you silly kids.

  41. To funny Brian. Love it

  42. What a hoot. I knew it was Mary’s stamp studio, as I followed along as she was having it built. Too funny. Love the humor & laughs. I’m still laughing. Only you, Brian!

  43. OMG Brian, you had me, hook, line and sinker. I subscribe to your You Tube channel and I watch your videos on YouTube on my smart TV, so, unlike your blog post here, I had no idea what was coming. When you started off about it being a basement with dark lighting, I thought, “it doesn’t look dark to me”. And then you went on to be surprised about the stampin’ trimmer in the drawer, and I laughed a little and then, Mary! I totally laughed out loud! That is a great video!

  44. Funny….as you were showing us, I was thinking, “Wow, this looks a lot like Mary Fish’s space.” Nice!

  45. When do we get a Fungeon tour?

  46. I love the video AND your “Craft room” (it looks like Mary Fish’s) and of course you and Mary!!! Thank you for giving me a good laugh today! I had to add this video to my facebook page along with the picture of “my dream craft room”! LOL!!! Keep on creating those wonderful things to inspire us.
    Have a great day!
    Cathy

  47. A new air conditioner, furnace, and venting … couldn’t change the Fungeon into what you were showing us in your video, Brian!

  48. Yikes! Some of my comment disappeared! I loved your video! You must have gotten some amazing ideas, though, for future Fungeon updating? Thanks, Brian, for the fun video and giggles!
