I know some really awesome people. I receive beautiful cards from my customers, blog readers and team members all the time. My team leaders send me cards. My Mom sends me cards. My dentist sends me postcards to remind me of my appointments. The latter is less exciting than the others – just sayin’.
I’ve always been excited by cards, but I recently received two tags that were (a) not designed in my typical style and (b) totally awesome. They’ve also inspired me to realize that a tag can be just as cool and just as effective as a card. I want to share these tags with you today.
Shelli Gardner (pictured here with her horse)
I recently earned an incentive gift from Stampin’ Up! As part of a Leadership goal, Shelli Gardner, co-founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up!, added an extra bonus gift of a Hip Hip Hooray Kit. Since the gift was from Shelli, it included a gorgeous, handmade tag with her signature on the back. Since the incentive gift was from Shelli, I can only assume that she packed the extra goodies to my box and made this tag just for me. I can dream, right?
Regardless, I dare you to tell me this isn’t the most gorgeous embellishment to a gift you’ve ever seen:
I tacked it onto a gift bag from the Celebrations Basics Kit to see how it would look – I think it looks like a brand new tag. Don’t you agree? While the tag is by Shelli, the bag was opened and folded down by Brian:
While it might look like I’m going to re-gift her tag, there’s no way I’m giving up that beauty. It will find a special place in my Fungeon.

Janet Wakeland (shown below riding a magical seahorse)

When I was in Tucson, Arizona for demonstrator training last month, I received wonderful gift from Janet Wakeland, who was a presenter at the training. She THOUGHT I was staying at Mary Fish’s house, so she brought me a wine glass tumbler. Before I show you the amazing tag that accompanied the tumbler, here’s a picture of me drinking Diet Coke out of my tumbler:
That’s right! There’s a plastic wine glass inside that plastic tumbler. What a hoot! Well, here’s what really impressed me – the tag that was tied to the side of the wonderful gift:
So much detail and so much luxury in this little adornment to my gift. I can really appreciate the amount of work that went into it. And all that stretch trim and the string of sequins really added an extra “umph” to the delivery of this gift.

I hope the work of these fabulous ladies inspires you as much as it has inspired me.
Thanks for stopping by today!
