2014-2016 In Colors: Complementary Pairings

Let’s talk about the 2014-2016 In Colors.Β  I must admit I’m in love – the more I work with them, the more I love them.Β  Last week I compared the In Colors to similar colors in the current Stampin’ Up! color collection.Β  It really shows how each of these colors have their very own personalities (see that post here).Β  Today, I want to share a some fun combinations of these new colors with complementary colors in the current Stampin’ Up! color collection.Β  These colors pair well with each other (as shown in yesterday’s post) but also pair beautifully with other colors.

    • The ink spots are stamped with Work of Art (a new stamp set from the upcoming catalog). The first, second and fourth sentiments are stamped with Something to Say (also a new stamp set from the upcoming catalog). The third sentiment is stamped with Perfect Pennants (available in the current Occasions Catalog and the upcoming catalog), while the fifth sentiment is stamped with Really Good Greetings (available in the current Annual Catalog and the upcoming catalog). I hope that’s helpful.

  16. These look great, Brian. The top 2 combinations are my favorites, especially the Mellow Moss. I am already thinking about beautiful floral designs for these colors!

  17. I really like the new colors and I love these cards and the way you displayed the colors!
    Great cards! Thanks for sharing!

  18. I enjoy your site. Are you going to make the DSP swatchbooks like you have made before? Did I miss announcement? Or should I look elsewhere?

  19. Besides the cards being great the sentiment selection is fantastic. I don’t find the sentiment you used on the Mossy Meadow card in the catalog or Occassions. Since I can’t part with any of my stamps ( I can’t help it) If it’s retired I probably have it. Would you mind telling me the name of the set or where it came from if, by chance, it’s not S.U. Thanks

  20. Wow!! I love all the combinations you shared. How did you select these options? I know you have an eye for color, but is there a tip for those of us who may not be so gifted to find success in combining color? Thanks for your ideas! I am getting SO excited to be able to try these out.
