I enjoy productive time in The Fungeon (that’s the mystical name I’ve given my stamping basement – the name, itself, breathes life into the dark, cinder-block room). I’m happy when I can crank out a handful of cards in one sitting. I also like when I can just play around with stamp sets, dies and colors – even if I don’t complete the ideas, that’s how I develop “leads” on many of my favorite projects. When I saw this week’s challenge from The Paper Players, I knew exactly the card I’d be making because I had already been playing with the idea of this card.

Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Merry Woodcuts. This “Christmas Bliss” sentiment with its beautiful scrolliness (that should be a word!) can be found in two places: the photopolymer set Christmas Bliss and the My Digital Studio (MDS) download Merry Woodcuts. I used MDS for this project and paired it with my Cameo Silhouette to create a perfectly silver and perfectly cropped sentiment – the Silver Foil Sheets work perfectly in the Silhouette. Woo hoo!
- Silver and White. I’m a fan of any card that is just white and a color – black and white, red and white, green and white – but silver and white knocks me off my feet – even when it’s the simplest of projects. If you’d like a look-see at a gold and white project I made for Fab Friday, click here.
- Dot the “i”. After I pulled the sentiment off my Silhouette and tossed the scraps in the trash, I realized I had not pulled the dot off the i. After running around in circles for about six minutes, raising my hands to the sky, fearing I’d have to cut it all over again (it wasn’t really that dramatic…or was it?), I decided to add a silver star using the Itty Bitty Accents punch. It was the perfect accent to complete this clean and simple card.
