For You – FabFri60

This week’s FabFriday Color Challenge includes five colors – FIVE!  They are Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler.  Did I mention there are five?  While I was initially convinced I couldn’t work all of these colors into a single card, I quickly changed my mind after I really started playing around with shapes and images.  Woo hoo!  Here’s my card:

Pictogram Punches, Work of Art,And Many More, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, FabFri60And here’s the challenge banner that inspired my creation:

FabFri60Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Beautiful Background.  Two weeks ago, I shared my 12 Days of Christmas gift tags.  We all remember tag #6, right?  It was our collective favorite.  🙂  If you missed it, see it here.  Anyway, my tag was the inspiration for this background – combining three of the colors into one beautiful background with one beautiful image from Work of Art.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to line up all the images and combined fully-inked images with those I stamped off once before stamping onto the Whisper White front.
  • Pictogram Punches.  I love this stamp set, and I knew I wanted to feature it with this background image – note that the zig-zag on the vase ties in with the background pattern.  To prevent it from getting too busy, I mounted the flower and coordinating vase on a Whisper White oval.
  • Stamp One, Two, Three.  To create this image on the oval, I stamped the image in Old Olive on the oval.  On a piece of scrap paper, I stamped the image in Bermuda Bay and cropped out the vase and positioned it on top of the Old Olive image.  The flowers were stamped with Cherry Cobbler and punched with the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Stamp Sets:  Pictogram Punches, And Many More, Work of Art  Papers:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler  Inks:  Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler  Accessories:  Ovals Collection Framelits, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Hexagon punch (for banner tips)

I hope you’ll pop over to the FabFriday design blog to see the beautiful projects by the other design team members.
