New Video: You’re Sublime Notecards

I love when I can give cards as a gift.  A cute collection of notecards is a wonderful treat for people who love to make cards, people who love to give cards or people who love to receive cards.  I guess I could just say notecards are a great gift for people.  I cannot say they are a great gift for puppies – unless the puppy is really, really grateful.  Can I just say cards are good for people and leave it at that?

Today I’m sharing a fun video to introduce you to a quick-and-easy set of notecards I made for a friend.  The video will take you through the simple steps of creating this adorable set of cards.  I hope you love these cards as much as I loved making them and sharing them.  Here’s my video:

How easy was that?  When we have a need, we can often find a way to make things work – and I’m super happy with how these cards turned out.  Not much coloring involved – yet there’s so much color in each card.  What a sweet gift!

  8. Hi Brian – I’m always looking for a way to make a hostess gift when someone invites us to dinner. These cards are an absolutely perfect hostess gift especially when wrapped together with a lovely piece of ribbon. Thanks so much! Love, love, love it and, of course, it was nice to have you visit with me at home this morning.

Toadlly too much fun! The toad or frog is my favorite! You are so right about these making the perfect little set of cards. I think they are even cuter than if you had colored them with markers. Love that idea. Great video as usual. My dog would definitely be grateful – he loves to shred paper and cards hence his name TED – Tactical Explosive Device! No paper was safe around the boy as a puppy and still now that he is at 14 months almost! Married, did I miss something? Have a great time at the convention – my money is on that you will try to ride the handle bars of Susan’s scooter!

  13. Very nice! Near instant gratification! I did something similar to that with the Watercolor Thank You stamp for a set of thank you cards . So easy, so nice! What I didn’t do and never even thought of was envelope liners for the cards. That would have been the icing on the cake! Thank you for sharing.

  14. Cool idea for coloring the image.
Question, does it matter if you stamp the color wash or image first in such instances?
    Thanks,
    Beth
