Yesterday’s card for this week’s Party theme at Global Design Project was clean-and-simple with the layering I’ve grown to love. In case you missed it, you can read more about that card by clicking on the picture below:
I know it’s a relatively simple card, but a lot of heart (and work and rework) went into its construction, so I wanted to share more. More, more, more! Over the holiday weekend, I filmed two videos about this card, and I’m excited to share the first with you today. The first video focuses on the combination of sentiments to create this fun “you’re invited!” and the color choices for my project. The second video (which I’ll share later this week) talks you through my decisions for matting and framing the card – it’s pretty much the same process I go through with every card. 🙂

Thanks for the info! I really enjoyed your video with the step-by-step “how to’. I don’t have a great eye for color as you obviously do & find myself really missing the color coach. If the exact colors (in this case Emerald Envy) aren’t found in the DSP, I’m really hesitant to “mix & match” colors. Any suggestions??
