You know, that sparked childhood memories of my favorite Christmas cookie made with my Grandma’s recipe. The cookie dough contained candied fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg, and nuts. They were shaped into balls and baked. They were best when stored in a tin, and allowed to “mellow” a few weeks. I try to make them every Christmas, and oh the memories biting into one of these yummy cookies brings back. Happy times.
