Since the launch of Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog on June 1, the Daisy punch (and, subsequently, the Daisy Delight Bundle) has been on backorder. The bundle, which was part of our Demonstrator pre-order, was far more popular than Stampin’ Up! had anticipated, so they had to turn off the product numbers while waiting for more punches to arrive at the warehouse.
YIPPEE! They are back! To celebrate the release of this punch and bundle, I made a super-fun card with several of the items in the Daisy Delight to share with you today. Here’s my card:

- Making Mrs. Daisy. I had a lot more fun with this daisy than I anticipated I would. I stamped the petals and punched them out three times to build a flower filled with beautiful petals. I inked the image of the petals with Smoky Slate and stamped it off once (lightly on scrap paper) before stamping it onto Whisper White and then punching it out. I pressed the center of each flower on a piercing mat to invert the middle and then curled the petals back with my bone folder. After I glued the three flowers together, I added the center (stamped in Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate and punched with a 3/4″ Circle punch) with two Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. The flower was mounted on a double-stack of Stampin’ Dimensionals sot I could showcase the curl on the flower petals.
- Inspiration. To find inspiration for a quick-and-simple card, I didn’t want to Google-search other projects with the Daisy Delight Bundle. Instead, I searched for projects with a different set that has a similarly large, round shape – the Flurry of Wishes stamp set. I quickly landed on this gorgeous card by Teri Pocock, a friend of mine in the U.K. I met Teri on Stampin’ Up!’s Caribbean Cruise Incentive Trip several years ago. First, how gorgeous is her card? Second, see how I easily CASE’d her layout while making my card my own? My card doesn’t have the same elegance as Teri’s, but the inspiration is still there. - Color Combination. While this flower can be showcased in many colors, I knew I wanted my first daisy to be white with a yellow center. Because I stamped the flower in Smoky Slate, I decided to incorporate Smoky Slate on the main panel of the card. I love this combination – green, yellow and gray are gorgeous! If you like this combination, too, please save this:
