Covering the 2018 Occasions Catalog

Over the past several weeks, I’ve shared several projects that feature new products – I love creating with brand new product and sharing those sneak peeks with you. The time before a new catalog is so exciting! I’m also thrilled to share the 2018 Occasions Catalog and 2018 Sale-a-Bration Brochure with my customers – these books were mailed to all of them this week, and I can imagine their joy as they flip through the pages. While I can’t yet post the entire publications online yet, I can show you the front cover of the books. What fun!

Don’t you love these projects? Such a great showcase of the new products. I love the pops of Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Peekaboo Peach on this cover. They scream “Spring celebration!” to me and make me excited to make some fun birthday cards.

I want to zoom in a bit and chat with you about the three focal images on this cover. You can look at the beautiful cover all day, but don’t you want to know what products are being showcased there?

Cake Soirée Bundle

The first card on the 2018 Occasions Catalog cover is a super-sweet birthday card that features the Cake Soirée Bundle:

The watercolor wash on this card gives beautiful backdrop for this cake builder bundle. The cake stand, the floral cake, the flowers and the leaves on top are all from the Cake Soirée Bundle (comprised of the Cake Soirée stamp set and the coordinating Sweet Cake Framelits Dies. And what a wonderful sentiment – “may your day be as wonderful as you”?! How fun! Here’s a look at this wonderful, new bundle:

While the gorgeous, floral detail on this cake is covered up by the banner, the flowers on top make up for it. Such a sweet card with a sweet bundle!

Beautiful Day stamp set

Move right on the cover from the sweet cake card, and you arrive at another card with a big, bold butterfly from the Beautiful Day stamp set. Here’s a closer look at this card:

How gorgeous is this card!? I searched the catalog from front to back, looking for the Designer Series Paper that makes up the card base for this card – before realizing it’s a piece of cardstock that’s stamped with a trio of dots in the Beautiful Day stamp set. Fun! Here’s a look at this stamp set:

Beautiful Day, Stampin’ Up!

I adore the bold, graphic lines in this stamp set – the flower and butterfly are perfect for so many coloring techniques! The image on the card appears to have been stamped with Pool Party and then colored with other, richer colors. I love that effect!

The card is also framed with a piece of Night of Navy pattern from the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper and accented with a little, Berry Burst clip from the Birthday Mini Binder Clips. Love it!

Picture Perfect Birthday

The trio of cards that grace the bottom, right corner of the 2018 Occasions Catalog are created with six colorful gift bows from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set. The bow is a two-step stamp that layers beautifully to form this super-fun bow. Here’s a close-up look at the cards:

How sweet are these colors together? The bows are perfectly placed and color coordinated. And you already know how much I love a beautiful sentiment – this “celebrate” is gorgeous, right?! Here’s a look at the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set:

The card also features strips of the Picture Perfect Paper Ribbon – what fun! Who wouldn’t love to receive this card? And who wouldn’t love to receive this catalog? I can’t wait to see what you order first. 🙂
