You’ve Got This – Now Get This

Yesterday I shared the Early Release of the Share What You Love suite from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog. I’m excited that customers are now able to order the bundles (there are three options!) and the new ink pads. What fun! Today’s card features a retiring favorite and a gorgeous page from the new Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper

Here’s my card that creates a sweet bridge between the two catalogs:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • I’m Here for You & Share What You Love. If you love flowers, then you are probably already drawn to this simple card. That’s because the focal panel feature a gorgeous flower with a sweet sentiment AND the background panel is a color-washed backdrop with the names of flowers all over it. The minute I pulled this piece of paper from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, I knew I wanted to show it with this flower. I’m Here for You is one of my all-time favorite stamp sets that retires at the end of May – and it’s a keeper (but you have to have it first). Here’s a look at this You’ve Got This stamp set: You've Got This, Stampin' Up!, 139575The background paper is from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper – a pack of 24 sheets of 12″ x 12″ handpainted designs on heavyweight paper. Four of the designs have a transluscent, pearlized finish. This GORGEOUS paper is available in May as part of the Gotta Have it All bundle (click here to read more). • Sweet Texture. I love the wash of Grapefruit Grove (one of Stampin’ Up’s 2018-2010 In Colors) on the panel of Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper so much that I tried to replicate it on the petals of my You’ve Got This flower. I stamped the flower on Whisper White cardstock and let it dry. I ran a Sponge Brayer through Grapefruit Grove ink and lightly ran the brayer over the flower. You've Got This, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series PaperI used a Grapefruit Grove Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the center of the flower. I snipped the flower out to glue down to this Whisper White panel. In addition, I stamped the stem and leaves on Mint Macaron cardstock, snipped them and glued them here.
  • Color Combination. If you’ve been stamping for several years, then you are excited by the return of Mint Macaron – what a beauty! It pairs wonderfully with the new, soft Grapefruit Grove and Crumb Cake, don’t you think? I love the soft, natural tones of this combination.
