The FabFriday Challenge launches a new challenge today – a simple sketch with a simple band across the card. My card also features four of the 2018-2020 In Colors – what fun! My card also pairs some brand new products with some long-time favorites. Here’s my card:
And here’s the banner for the FabFriday Challenge sketch that inspired my card:
- Lift Me Up. The bright colors and fun patterned papers on this card are bright and cheery and fun, but the balloons from the Lift Me Up stamp set really deliver loads of joy to this project. They offer a little movement to this simple layout. I’ve always loved this set (the balloons are great, and the sentiments are really versatile), but these new colors really give the images new life. Here’s a Look at the Lift Me Up stamp set: I’ve included a link to the coordinating Up & Away Thinlits Dies in the product listing at the base of this post. If you don’t have them, please take another look. Both are perfect for Spring and Summer.
- 6″ x 6″ Color Stacks. I’ve really missed having my Designer Series Paper Color Stacks – packs of printed papers in the colors of each color family. Well, they’ve been redesigned and have returned, and I’m over-the-moon about them. The newly designed pages come in a 6″ x 6″ pack – YAY! The packs for each of the four color families contain 40 sheets (2 each of 2 double-sided designs in 10 colors), which the packs for each of the In Color collections contain 40 sheets (4 each of 2 double-sided designs in 5 colors). Here’s a look at the versatile patterns:
- Bright and Bold. My card features four of the 2018-2020 In Colors – all except Grapefruit Grove. Here’s a look at all five of the 2018-2020 In Colors: To learn more about these new colors (along with color comparisons and suggested color combinations), please click here. While Pineapple Punch plays an important role on this card, it’s Lovely Lipstick, Blueberry Bushel and Call Me Clover that really set the mood. If you are inspired by this color combination, please save this:

Excellent showcase of the beautiful new colors and paper, and I love how the vertical stripes give an additional lift!

Love your card, Brian. The balloons have been a favorite of mine and I love the font of the sentiments in that set. The 6 x 6 pads will be a great addition to my stash with the pretty and versatile designs to be used as backgrounds or as stand-alone DSP on cards. Enjoy your day!
HJ, you always say the nicest things – and I appreciate that. Thanks so much!
Great card. I agree about the Paper Stacks. Just got mine and am itching to create something as cute as your card!
