Patriotic Color Combinations & Inspiration

It’s Independence Day in the United States – a day when we celebrate the anniversary of our nation’s independence. It’s also a day to reflect on our freedoms and liberties and those who have fought (and are fighting) to preserve them. Because it’s a holiday for many, it’s also a wonderful time to get together with family and friends. I wish you a festive and fun Fourth of July.

Last week I shared a patriotic card for this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge – you can see that card here (or continue reading to the base of this post). While creating that card, I played with several different color combinations that would be wonderful for July 4 or patriotic cards. Today I’m sharing these color combinations, along with some of the patriotic cards I’ve shared with you over the years.  I hope these colors and projects can inspire you to create cards or decorations for your upcoming holiday.

Patriotic Color Combinations

With so many great colors in Stampin’ Up!’s color families, there are lots of great combinations for the Red, White and Blue. I’ve even added some colors that are great stand-ins for gold and silver. From sophisticated to festive, here are some color combinations that might help you get started:
