As I was creating the CAS(E) This Sketch card I shared on Thursday (you can see it here), I had this fun idea to create the strips on the card with the page of tiny frogs from the Toils & Trouble Designer Series Paper. It was going to be a Halloween card with a cute Halloween sentiment. Once I sliced this paper into small strips, though, the pattern of frogs lost a little bit of its appeal (as most of them were cut off). Not cute I set off on a different journey for that card, but I set the frog-filled paper aside with a different idea for how to use it. Here’s my card:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Toil & Trouble Suite. How fun are these frogs? The Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper frogs are super-cute, and the single frog from Cauldron bubble is a perfect accent above my sentiment. With non-Halloween card that features both the Cauldron Bubble Bundle and Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper, maybe there’s a lot to look at in both. Here’s a look at the Cauldron Bubble Bundle:
And here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper:

- Calls for a Celebration. If you like to send friendly, supportive cards, then you might need to take another look at Calls for a Celebration, a stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog. The set features sentiments that range from sweet-and-sincere to sweet-and-sarcastic. Everyone knows someone that should receive “YOU’RE pretty much THE GREATEST of all time in the history of EVER,” right? And who doesn’t love a celebration?! Here’s a look at this wonderful sentiment stamp set:
My frog that’s perched on top of this fun sentiment was stamped with Cauldron Bubble, colored with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and cropped with Cauldron Framelits Dies.
- Green Frogs. These frogs are colored with two shades of green – and you need both of them. When Granny Apple Green was introduced earlier this year, even I said it was a “permanent color collection version of Lemon Lime Twist (a super-popular In Color that retires in 2019).” While I still believe it’s partially true, Granny Apple Green has a bright, brilliant shine that’s all its own. Together, they are quite wonderful! If you like this combination of Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green
Bundles: Cauldron BubbleĀ Stamp Sets: Cauldron Bubble, Calls for CelebrationĀ Papers: Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White, Thick Whisper WhiteĀ Inks: Granny Apple Green, Tuxedo Black Memento Black, Stampin’ Blends (Granny Apple Green)Ā Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals
What do think? Can you find fun, non-Halloween ways to showcase these fun frogs after October 31? Thanks for stopping by today!

It’s such a fun pack of papers, Dianne! I’m so glad you like it – Stampin’ Up! color names can be so fun sometimes. <3
WOWZER – What a bright, cheerful and fun card to start my day with. Since it’s gloomy, overcast and plain old ugly outside today it was a fabulous pick me up to see this card first thing in the morning. That lets me know that not only this card but this color combination would be perfect to send to someone to cheer THEM up. Love it and thanks Brian, your card completely changed my outlook today.
Thanks, Grace! So glad you like the perky frog card – these greens are a perfect pick-me-up, and that frog is adorable. <3
That little frog was on my sliding glass door yesterday morning !

How funny, I just used this cute little frog on my thank-you cards, with Bella from Bella & Friends. I think he is adorable! AND, so is your card.
Oh my, Iām I going to have to get this paper, just so I can case this card. ?
š Thanks, Katrina! The frog is super-cute, and I can imagine how wonderfully he pairs with that puppy! <3 You'll love the paper.
Ribbetting! I never really associated frogs that much with Halloween but what do I know. The little frog jumps off the card with joy. Fun!!!
Thanks, Chris! Every witch’s brew contains frogs or frog legs. Lucky for this guy, he’s too cute to be brewed. Ribbetting – so funny!
I love this frog card so much, and I would like to do something similar throughout the whole year. Guess it’s time to talk with SU office.
š Thanks, Lee. I thing this frog is adorable – I’d love to see him in all occasions, too! <3
So cute, Brian. I do not usually make Halloween cards but do have a friend who loves frogs- so I see an exception happening this year. I had already planned to buy Calls for a Celebration so I was extra happy to see this cute card. Thanks for sharing. Great colors, as always.
I’m so glad you like it, and I’m sure your frog-loving friend will be happy if you have it. <3 Thanks for your kind comments, Nancy! <3
Those frogs are fun! Adorable card!
Thanks, my friend! I couldn’t resist them. <3
Love your hoppin’ frog card! You stated, “My frog that’s perched on top of this fun sentiment was stamped with Cauldron Bubble, colored with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and cropped with Cauldron Framelits Dies.” Which framelit die did you use to crop the frog?
Thanks so much, Stella! Good eye! The little frog die is pictured in the printed catalog and included in the set of dies when you order, but the frog die doesn’t show up in the photo used in the online store. It’s there, though. <3
