A Country Home on Country Lane

With all the Christmas cards I’ve shared lately, I wanted to take a step back and make a soft, sweet card that’s perfect for the season of gratitude. My card features two amazing products from the Country Lane Suite of products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog – the Country Home stamp set and Country Lane Designer Series Paper. While they are great to be used all year, they are particularly special for Thanksgiving. Here’s my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Country Home and Country Lane. I love the rustic, on-trend image in Country Home, a photopolymer stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog. The jug and pitcher with coordinating floral arrangements are super-sweet, and the sentiments are out-of-this-world. For today’s card, I stamped the jug and one of the arrangements with Whisper White Craft Ink and heated with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Such a gorgeous look against the Sahara Sand backdrop. The pattern of cotton mimics the images from the stamp. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Country Lane Designer Series Paper:Country Lane Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 147804
  • Itty Bitty Gratitude. I love all of the big, bold sentiments in the Country Home stamp set, but I wanted a small sentiment so as to not distract from the gorgeous jug of flowers. As I ran my finger over the variety of sentiments in Itty Bitty Greetings, I found my winner! Country Home, Stampin' Up!, Brian King“With gratitude” says exactly what I wanted it to say. I positioned it to the side of the jug to balance everything out on the card. • Sweet (Literally) Colors. I pulled Mint Macaron and Early Espresso right from the Country Lane Designer Series Paper – and added Sahara Sand for a soft neutral. This combination of Mint Macaron, Sahara Sand and Early Espresso is truly sweet – doesn’t it remind you of mint chocolate chip ice cream? Stampin' Up! 6. Luscious layers topped off with a scoop of mint chip ice cream. You made me smile when I was just thinking that the cool colors reminded of such and then you made reference to it too.
