Today’s card for the FabFriday sketch challenge looks very Autumn-y at first glance. While you might think that these products were pulled from Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Holiday Catalog, they were not. All of these products come from Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Annual Catalog that was released in June. Here’s my card:
And here’s the sketch for the challenge that inspired my card:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Royal Peacock. Imagine my excitement when I first saw the Royal Peacock Bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Annual Catalog. It’s not that I’m in love with peacocks – it’s the “royal” reference I love. As a “king” and the leader of my InKing Royalty team, I love that the bundle has “royal” in the name, but I also love that the sentiments are supportive and encouraging. What fun! Here’s a
Just look at how detailed and beautiful this peacock feather is (even without additional color, it’s distinctive and bold):
The GORGEOUS backdrop for this feather and sweet sentiment is a Crushed Curry page from the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper. While the green page of this similar design includes shiny, transparent texture, this page does not. I love it includes variation of Crushed Curry (that almost look like So Saffron), and that the paper has a beautiful, weathered look to it. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper:
- Noble Peacock Rhinestones. You may have been so overwhelmed by the simple beauty of the paper or feather that you overlooked the shiny accents on the card. Here’s a closer look:
These rhinestones are from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones, a set of rhinestones in Blueberry Bushel, Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Old Olive and (featured here) Pretty Peacock. Such an easy-to-use embellishment. Here’s a closer look:

- Color Combination. The colors I used on this card are a perfect combination of two regal tones with a neutral tone. Accented by pops of Whisper White, these colors work beautifully together. If you like this combination of Pretty Peacock, Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate as much as I do, please save this for future reference:
Stamp Sets: Woven Heirlooms Papers: Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper, Smoky Slate, Pretty Peacock, Thick Whisper White Inks: Pretty Peacock Accessories: Detailed Peacock Dies, Noble Peacock Rhinestones, Stampin’ Dimensionals
