From My Heart to Yours

The FabFriday challenge that kicks off today is such an original sketch that it forces us to think hard about how we want to showcase it in a project. What a fun challenge! I went through three or four ideas before I landed on the fun Valentine’s Day theme of the card I finally made. The card uses a bunch of elements from the From My Heart Suite in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2020 Mini Catalog, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Here’s my card:

  • Heartfelt Bundle. I love a good punch bundle – I rarely pass one up because I really like working with my punches. The Heartfelt Bundle is a PERFECT one for Valentine’s Day or any show of love (friendship, babies, weddings are all heart-appropriate). Here’s a look at the Heartfelt Bundle, which includes the Heartfelt Photopolymer stamp set and Heart Punch Pack: Heartfelt Bundle, Stampin Up! 153775The arrows that build a pattern on my card are stamped with the Heartfelt stamp set and cropped with my Brother ScanNCut. Here’s a closeup, though, of the beautifully layered heart on the front of my card – the two punches work together to create one scalloped heart OR one regular heart OR a duo of both. How fun!
  • From My Heart. The Flirty Flamingo and Real Red panel of From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper informed the colors on my card, the hearts AND the arrow-filled centerpiece. Such a great pack of papers! Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this LOVEly pack of Specialty Designer Series Papers:From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 151189If you’d like to peruse all of the coordinating items int he From My Heart Suite of products, click on the photo below to link over to my online store: From My Heart Suite 101021
  • Pink and Red. I’m going to admit something – there’s something almost horrific about a red-and-pink combination that could go oh-so-wrong. This paper, though, is a bit compelling. Although I would like to see a third shade (a blue or green) combined in the paper, I know I can add other colors to make a project less pink-and-red. If I want to. I didn’t want to on this card. I was totally digging the pink and red together – it’s a different color palette for me. 10. Oh , my friend I love it , Tfs
    Hugs Frenchie ♥️

  11. I completely agree with you about the colors. I cringe when I see the combos of red and peach, such as flamingo, and, some years ago, red and coral. It just doesn’t go together to me. However, red and Powder Pink might go. You have to have a bluish red, such as Lovely Lipstick, to go with pink, and a orangey red, like Poppy Parade, to go with flamingo.
