So Sentimental Thank You

You know what it’s like to have a favorite pattern of Designer Series Paper and how important it is to showcase it perfectly when you decide to cut into it? The card I’m sharing today is the product of that kind of pressure. I really love this page of watercolored poppies in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Papers – and I think I’ve found a perfect design to showcase it. Here’s my card:

  • So Sentimental & Stone 3D. My panel of Peaceful Poppies Designer Series is surrounded by Night of Navy – a Night of Navy card base, an embossed panel of Night of Navy, Night of Navy twine and a sentiment that’s stamped with Night of Navy. I couldn’t be happier with how this rich blue helps these flowers to really pop. While this card (in my mind) is all about the paper, the sentiment and embossed panel are very important additions. I used three elements from the So Sentimental Bundle on this card – did you see all three? I stamped the sentiment and cropped it with the coordinating Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I also cropped my panel of Peaceful Poppies with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. What fun! Here’s a look at the So Sentimental Bundle:   So Sentimental Bundle, Stampin Up! 153828The texture on the embossed panel of Night of Navy is from the over-the-top gorgeous Stone 3-D Embossing Folder, which can be selected as your Sale-a-Bration gift with a $100 order. Even if you aren’t inspired by the stamp set (which, by the way, has some amazing sentiments), you must have this embossing folder. • Stitches. Because the stitching around the sentiment shape gets a little lost in the large photo above, I want to make sure you see them on this card. Here’s a closer look at this incredible sentiment (I will have to fight to now share this sentiment 100 times): So Sentimental Bundle, Peaceful Poppies Deisgner Series Paper, Stone 3D Embossing Folder, Stampin Up!, Brian King, thank you note
  • Powerful Color Combination. If you love this panel of Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper as much as I do, you’ll want to check out all of the pages in this pack of papers. Here’s a look at all of the colors and patterns in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper:  Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 151324The panel I chose only includes Old Olive and Poppy Parade, but I knew I needed a third color to pull out their beauty. Night of Navy gave me EXACTLY what I needed. If you love this mix of Old Olive, Night of Navy and Poppy Parade, please save this for future reference:  Stampin Up! 10. This is my favorite card today. I like card designs to be simple without layers of frou-frou and this one did it for me. That paper is stunning. Great job, Brian.
