Rise and Shine with Pleased as Punch

Fair warning – today’s card is packed with bright colors. If you are just waking up, you won’t be able to roll over and go back to sleep after taking this one in. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Here’s my card that features a beautiful panel from the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper and some fun images from the soon-to-be released Rise & Shine stamp set:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Rise & Shine. If you picked up the Cup of Cheer Dies from Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Holiday Catalog, then you will certainly want to earn the Rise & Shine stamp set, available as a Sale-a-Bration option starting March 3 (that’s Tuesday!). If you didn’t pick up the Cup of Cheer Dies, then you will still want to earn the stamp set and pick up the dies in the Holiday Favorites section of the online store (click here to review all the Holiday carryovers). Here’s a look at the sweet images and sentiments in the Rise & Shine stamp set that can be earned with a $100 order starting on March 3:Rise & Shine,Rise & Shine, Stampin Up!, 152303And here’s a look at the Cup of Cheer Dies that you can still purchase if you want them (and I know you do): Cup of Cheer Dies, Stampin Up!, 151150I stamped my mugs in cheery colors to coordinate with the beautiful stripes in this page from the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper. These papers were introduced in February as part of a Product Coordination Release. How gorgeous are these pages!? • Tea bag. The last time I shared the Rise & Shine stamp set, my mugs were filled with coffee (you can see that project here), but today’s project features a cheery cup of tea. These two mugs are happy together like two friends who’ve not seen each other in a while. Here’s a closer look:Rise & Shine, Pleased as Punch, Stampin Up!, Brian KingMy tea bag label hangs over the rim of the mug – I simply stapled a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine to the tag (also cut with the Cup of Cheer Dies). I colored the heart with a Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend marker.
  • Three Brights. I love bright colors, but I don’t often reach for Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green unless I plan to use them sparingly. I went all-in on this card, though, and embraced these two shades. If you like this mix of Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green as much as I do, please save this for future reference:  Stampin Up! 1. Creative and cute. Those two mugs make the best of friends!

  2. Brian since you already had the tea bag as a label, it was so clever of you to stamp the sentiment directly on the DSP layer. Very cute layout.

  3. This is a super bright and cheery card, Brian, the colors most definitely get you out of a slump if you’re still in the cold Winter’s grip.
