The Peaceful Poppies Suite is full of poppies of all colors – mostly bright red, some purple and some pink. The moment I found out that there are pink poppies (not all poppies are bright red – Google it.), I set out to make a card that features a sweet collection of soft pink flowers. Here’s my card that combines the Painted Poppies stamp set with the Peaceful Moments stamp set, both a part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite:
- Poppies Galore. The Peaceful Poppies Suite features two amazing bundles that touch the hearts of any flower lover. Because the coordinating dies are currently on backorder (and unorderable), I created this simple card with the stamps in those bundles. You can order the stamp sets today and then pick up the dies when they are available again. Here are the two stamp sets featured on my simple card:
- Stamp and Color. I stamped these flowers with Jet Black Stazon ink, a permanent black ink that works with with our water-based Stampin’ Write Markers. I carefully stamped the image over and over to create a full garden of poppies. Here’s a closer look at this panel of pink poppies (say that five times fast):
After the Stazon ink dried, I colored these poppies with my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Marker. I brushed over each petal, leaving a little touch of white inside each flower for a more artistic effect.
- A Beautiful Sentiment. I love the sentiments in the Peaceful Moments stamp set – they are a gorgeous collection of sentiments in a beautiful font. I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock, cropped it with the Stitched Rectangles Dies and then framed it with a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Simple and sweet.
Here’s a look at the must-have Stitched Rectangles Dies (if you don’t already have them, add them to your shopping cart right now):
Stamp Sets: Peaceful Poppies, Peaceful Moments Papers: Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black, Whisper White Inks: Jet Black Stazon Ink, Brights Stampin’ Write Markers (Flirty Flamingo) Accessories: Stitched Rectangles Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals

LOVE LOVE LOVE this card.
Thanks, Kadie! I really love Flirty Flamingo. ♥
Love this simple but refreshing card Brian. Once in a while I get caught unprepared when I have been gifted and this card would be perfect to put together rather quickly. I too love flirty flamingo and find I use it more than I anticipated. As always, thank you for sharing your artistry with us.
That makes me happy, Grace! This card would be a good “old standby” to make a few and then slap a “thank you” or “happy birthday” or “congrats” as needed. Thank you so always being so kind. ♥
I love this pretty card with pink poppies, Brian. I like it’s versatility as you pointed out in your comment to Grace. I hope you’re having a good day.
🙂 Thanks so much, Hilda!
Thanks for the tip of leaving a bit of white when you colored the poppies. Perfect!
It started with me being a bit lazy, but I liked the white space that was left. 🙂 Glad you like it, Joann! ♥
