I love to combine elements from multiple places to make a card that looks like all of its elements were made for each other. What makes today’s Spring card special? Is it the gorgeous frame? Is it the collage of bright flowers? Is it the beautiful vellum in the center of the frame? It’s all of these things, working together. I’m excited to share today’s card with you:

I stamped and punch several of these flowers to build a beautiful collage on my card:
- Framed Vellum. This card was inspired by the beautiful vellum that’s included in the For the Love of Felt Project Kit (there are four pieces of this vellum in the kit). Here’s a closer look at the words printed on this gorgeous vellum:
I trimmed down the vellum to fit behind this frame, popped it up on a piece of Thick Whisper White (also trimmed to fit behind the frame) and then glued to the Pool Party base. The frame was cropped with the oval from the Heirloom Frames Dies from Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look:
And here’s a look at the For the Love of Felt Project Kit (the vellum pieces I used today are in the center of the picture below):
- Spring Color Combinations. Since they were first introduced as In Colors, I’ve always loved the combination of Pool Party and Calypso Coral. I added Pineapple Punch flowers to the mix for a bright-and-beautiful combination. If you like this mix of Pool Party, Pineapple Punch and Calypso Coral as much as I do, please save this for future reference:

Brian, I love this bright spring-y card with that vellum. I’m so glad I got this stamp set and punch. It makes it so easy to put pretty cards together quickly. Enjoy your day!
I’m so happy you like it, Hilda! The colors make me so happy, and I really had fun with these flowers. Hope your day is wonderful! ♥
Brian, there you go being clever again, never would I have thought to put the sentiment “happy day” with the oval frame. This is such a beautiful card!
Thank you so much, Katrina! I’m so happy you like it. All the best to you!
Love the colors today. The card is pretty fun too!
So bright and cheery…just what we need right now! Wishing you peace and good health and happy St. Patrick’s Day Brian!
Thank you so much, Dawn! I wish you and your family all the same. ♥ I am upset that I missed a good “lots of green” post for St. Patty’s. Didn’t even cross my mind that it’s today.
Don’t be upset Brian, there is alot on our minds right now!
Sweet frame and lovely cluster of spring flowers!
♥ Thanks, Mary! I had fun with this.
Such bright fun colors..love the words in the background!
Sweet Sweet card. The flowers turned out AMAZING!
Here on the Maine coast there are lots of houses with oval windows at the peaks of the house. As soon as I saw today’s card I thought of those windows with a shade lifted slightly. Weird I know but that’s what it made me think of. LOL Love this one Brian and I’m so glad that I have this stamp set and punch. Thanks for sharing your vision and making mine a happy one during these days of confinement!
Those flowers are sweet and perfect on the frame! Great way to use the vellum too!
