Here for You with By the Dock

When a friend is hurting, sometimes the best thing we can do is just let them know we are there for them. “I’m here for you” says, “I care, and I’m here to give you whatever space or support you need.” What better way to share that sentiment than with a card? Better – a handmade card. Better – a handmade card with the By the Dock bundle. I’ve been looking for a fun way to use this new bundle, and this week’s Freshly Made Sketches gave me the perfect layout to showcase this sweet bundle. Here’s my card:

FMS Final 427-001Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • By the Dock. There are so many wonderful, new products in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2020 Mini Catalog, and some of them don’t get the “online love” they deserve. I haven’t seen a lot of samples with the By the Dock Bundle, so I’ve been anxious to showcase it. This boat can be whimsical or beautiful, and there are a lot of fun characters in this set. Here’s a closer look: By the Dock Bundle, Stampin Up! 153817In case you just skimmed over it and didn’t pay attention, I want to look back over the images and sentiments in this set – there are some amazing things here. The dies are pretty incredible, too! Here’s a video from Stampin’ Up! that walks you through all the elements of this bundle: By the Dock video
  • Stampin’ Blends. I love when my Stampin’ Blends can help me to easily add color to a card. Coloring this boat with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends was really easy – I just colored the base of the boat with the Dark Crumb Cake marker and the sides and seats with Light Crumb Cake markers. I blended the darker pen into the corners and edges of the boat, too, for a rustic look. • Bold Color Combination. I’ve always loved the combinations of pale blue and rich green. I’ve also always love the mix of pale blue and bright yellow. For today’s card, I combined all three. If you like this mix of Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Garden Green as much as I do, please save this for future reference:Stampin Up!
