Today’s card would make a lovely card for a friend who’s moving or a coworker who’s retiring. Truth is, though, this card is my love letter to Sale-a-Bration to let her know how much I’m going to miss her when she’s gone. Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Lots of Lilies. There are THREE products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Sale-a-Bration brochure that are brilliantly related with each other in lily pad-themed coordination. Such fun! I am excited to share all three of those with you today. The Lovely Lily Pad stamp set features reversible stamps with flowers, leaves and lily pads that can be stamped and colored in using both sides of the stamp. I stamped the flowers on Thick Whisper White cardstock with Blackberry Bliss ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends (more below). The beautiful background of lily pads and flowers is from the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper. The pack is filled with gorgeous, watercolored images in LOTS of beautiful colors. I’ve always said that floral arrangements aren’t in my wheelhouse. I’m starting to feel a little more comfortable, though, positioning flowers on a card the way I want them. Here’s a closer look at the flowers that peek from behind this Stitched Nested Labels Dies:
I stamped all four of the flowers with my Blackberry Bliss stamp pad. I colored the larger flowers with a mix of the Light and Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write Markers and colored the smaller flowers with the Light Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Markers. I love that we can use the blends with our Classic Inks. Such fun! - Color Combination. The colors on my card were pulled right from the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper. I tried different colors for my card base, but Bermuda Bay helped the flowers to pop more than the others I tried. Such a brilliant color combination of blue, pink and purple! If you like this mix of Bermuda Bay, Lovely Lipstick and Blackberry Bliss as much as I do, please save this for future reference:
