Give Thanks with Celebrate Sunflowers

My Tennessee stamp club met last week, and I sent some really fun projects for them to complete during their get together. I don’t get to be there with them – if I were there, I’d likely distract them from completing their projects – but I always like to hear what they thought of the projects. Here’s one of the projects I shared with the group:

Celebrate Sunflowers, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe bright, happy sunflower on the top of this box is built with elements from the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle, which is made up of the Celebrate Sunflowers Cling Stamp Set and coordinating Sunflowers Dies. I stamped the large flower with Bumblebee Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cropped it out with the coordinating dies. I then cropped the detailed sunflowers with one of the dies and Bumblebee cardstock. The center of the sunflower is cropped with a scrap of Soft Suede cardstock. Here’s a look at this bundle:

Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle, Stampin Up! 154065Quick Tip: It can be difficult to line up the cropped flower base with the detailed cutout, but it doesn’t have to be. There’s only one spot on the flower with curved petals – find that spot, and you are golden!

Even the greenery accent on this box top is cropped from the Sunflower Dies. Here’s a closer look:

Celebrate Sunflowers, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe wooden stamp and sentiment are from the Arrange a Wreath Bundle. I used this bundle for another project I shared with the club, so you’ll be seeing more with this bundle tomorrow.

The white box in this project is a Mini Paper Pumpkin Box, a new Packaging Basics product in Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog. These boxes are adorable (and showcased a lot in the catalog if you look closely). Here’s a look at this new product that is food-safe and perfect for gifting any number of small items:

Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes, Stampin Up! 153069What I love most is that these little boxes are the perfect size to hold a bundle of Note Cards & Envelopes, making them the perfect container for a gift set of greeting cards! I filled mine with three simple cards that coordinating with the front of the box. Here’s a look:

Celebrate Sunflowers, Stampin Up!, Brian KingEach of the club members completed the box and the three Note Cards & Envelopes. What fun! I asked for a fun picture of them with their finished projects, but I received an action photo instead. Here’s a photo of these dear friends, masked and working hard (I’m going to assume there are gigantic smiles under those masks):

  9. For Christmas presents I make my friends a box of cards with a pkg. of stamps. These boxes have proved perfect for that. Prior to SU introducing these fabulous babies, I had been using Paper Pumpkin boxes but these are much better size wise. I have already used up my first order of boxes so will be ordering more later on. I think they are wonderful as were your cards today.

  10. Love these mini boxes. I make card sets for some of my friends for Christmas and I’ve already used the first set of boxes so I need to order
more. I usually make the top card in the box to match the box cover and I include a book of stamps. My friends look forward to receiving them every year.
