A Very Merry Christmas with Sweetest Time

Since my first order from Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog, I’ve been excited to play with the Sweetest Borders Dies. I usually start to build a card with a stamp or Designer Series Paper (it’s just how I work), so I’ve not yet used either of the border dies in the set – until now. Here’s my card with the Sweetest Borders Dies:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Sweetest Time Bundle. There are some sweet sentiments and images in the Sweetest Time Bundle, but the star of this bundle is the Sweetest Borders Dies. One of the dies create a great border of candy canes and the other creates a beautiful spray of holly (that’s the one I used on today’s card). This bundle isn’t a standout in the new catalog (it’s not a spotlighted element of a suite collection), but it’s a great bundle that can be used fro several occasions. Here’s a look at the Sweetest Time Bundle:  Sweetest Time Bundle, Stampin Up! 155169I cropped the holly with Shaded Spruce cardstock and then again with Real Red. I popped the little berries out and glued them into the Shaded Spruce cutout. Fun! A perfect fit!
  • ‘Tis the Season. The patterns in the ‘Tis the Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper provide some really great green and red patterns that are perfect for accents or backgrounds on any card. There’s a great mix of traditional patterns in this pack of papers and a beautiful assortment of colors. • Favorite Color Combination. This is the third card I’ve made with the Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce and Real Red color combination. This mix of greens with this bright red are just wonderful together and quickly becoming one of my favorite Christmas color combinations. If you like this mix of Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce and Real Red as much as I do, feel free to save this for future reference: Stampin' Up! Good morning, Brian,
I LOVE your card today … and it’s due to the holly leaves border die. There is something about holly leaves and berries at Christmas for me … they are my favorite! Long before I started stamping, I’d draw them under our signature on our Christmas cards! Beautiful card!
    Thank you so much!
