Wishing Our Paths Crossed a Little More Often with Welcoming Window

Yesterday I shared the first card I’ve made with the Welcoming Window Bundle, a new bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. If you missed that post, you can see my project here. I’ve had the bundle for a while, but I didn’t realize how much I loved it until I inked it up. After carefully studying the stamps and dies that were on my desk after I made the card I shared with you yesterday, I had another card I needed to make – this time with no window. Here’s my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Welcoming Window Bundle. I love the images and sentiments in this beautiful bundle – such a great variety! I loved the watercolored bricks so much that I was excited to play with them again – the “Wishing our paths crossed a little more often” gave me every reason I needed to make a path instead of a wall. šŸ™‚ Here’s a look at the Welcoming Window Bundle: Welcoming Window Bundle, Stampin Up! 156271With two leaf/flower combinations in the stamp set and three pots, I couldn’t help but to put two beautiful potted plants along the sweet path.
  • Continuing Along the Path. I originally designed a large panel for my card with the path extending the entire width of my card. After I cropped the path with a long, narrow rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies and let my flower hang over the top, I was missing something along the sides. Just a couple of bricks along the left and right side of the Very Vanilla panel gave me everything I needed to extend my path across the card. • Neutrals. As with yesterday’s card, the flowers on my card pop against the neutral backdrop. I like that. For this card, I built my background panels with Sahara Sand, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla layers. The pots along my path are stamped with Soft Suede and Cajun Craze, but the neutral panels really set the tone. If you like this mix of Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand and Early Espresso as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference: Stampin Up! This has been a crazy year, and there are a lot of people I wish I could have seen more often. I think I could duplicate this card and send it to a couple hundred of them. Thanks for stopping by today!

  6. Such a clever design. I love it and your card from yesterday too. I need to play with this bundle more. I bought it because it reminded me of the buildings/windows in Italy.

    • Totally feels like Italy, doesn’t it?! Thanks so much – I hope you’ll play with your bundle soon. It’s WAY for fun than I expected. ♄

  7. Beautiful card Brian.
I’m CRACKING myself up……When I first read the sentiment…..I thought it said ‘Wishing our paths crossed a little more OF TEN’. I thought to myself…..what the heck does that mean. I even read it TWICE.
Then I realized what it really said. YIKES!!!!! Think I need some time off.

  8. I love how you created a brick path for your card! Perfect design element for pairing with your sentiment. LOVE IT!

  9. I love this one Brian! Very clever.

  10. Love, love, love this one Brian and I can think of a good number of people I’d like to send it to. The continuation of the brick stamp across the entire background panel is pure genius! Adding the flower arrangements brought brightness to the neutral shades on the card. Thanks for bringing a big smile to my face first thing today!
