Easter Blessings with Oval Occasions

It’s back! I started yesterday’s post with the joyful announcement that the Double Oval Punch and Ice Cream Builder Punches are back in stock – and that means you can now order the coordinating bundles. Yay! Today’s card features a different take on one of those bundles – just in time for Easter. Here’s my sweet Easter card:

Oval Occasions, Stampin Up, Double Oval Punch, Flowering Vine Dies, Brian King, Easter cardTips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Oval Occasions Bundle. How adorable is the pair of bunnies in the Oval Occasions stamp set? There are so many great sentiments in the stamp set – baby-themed, birthday-themed, thanks-themed and more! These bunnies were exactly what I wanted, though, for this Easter card. Here’s a look at the Oval Occasions Bundle (that is now back in stock!):Oval Occasions Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian KingRather than present the bunnies in a horizontal oval (as they are shown in the stamp set), I stamped them on Thick Basic White and then cropped them in the opposite direction. That cut out the flowers on either side, but they fit perfectly inside the oval, don’t they?! Rather than color the bunnies, I then colored the sky above them and the grass below them with Stampin’ Blends. How fun! I framed them with another punch from the Double Oval Punch. Here’s a closer look: Oval Occasions, Stampin Up, Double Oval Punch, Flowering Vine Dies, Brian King, Easter cardThe sentiment is pulled from Itty Bitty Greetings and cropped with the retiring Classic Label Punch.
  • A Flowering Vine Design. The egg-like oval die cut behind my punched bunnies is one of the dies from the Flowering Vine Dies in the Vine Design Bundle.  Here’s a look at this incredible, must-have bundle:Vine Design Bundle, Stampin Up! 156266Want to know how I colored my floral die cut? I painted stripes of color on a piece of Thick Basic White with a variety of Stampin’ Blends BEFORE I ran the die through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. So easy! • Colors for Easter. While the base and focal point of my card are Seaside Spray, Soft Sea Foam and Basic White, the soft tones of the colors in the Flowering Vine Dies are perfect for Easter, don’t you think? I simply ran my finger over my Stampin’ Blends storage rack and picked a blue, a green, a purple, a pink and a yellow. If you like this mix of Seaside Spray, Soft Sea Foam, Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference: Stampin Up!
