Thanks with Stampin’ Up!’s Hand-Penned Petals Bundle

I’m so in love with Stampin’ Up!’s 2021-2023 In Colors – what a beautiful showcase of colors! Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have been able to pre-order In Color inks and papers for the past several weeks, and I have loved working with these new colors. I can’t wait until next week when customers are also able to get their hands on these colors. Today I’m sharing a card that features FOUR of the five new In Colors and a fantastic, new bundle. Here’s my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

• Hand-Penned Petals. The Hand-Penned Bundle is destined to be one of the most popular bundles in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog – it’s pretty amazing! Go ahead and add it to your wish list. ♥ Here’s a look a the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and coordinating Penned Flowers Dies:While the stamp set is designed for us to stamp the outline and stamp the colors inside the flowers with watercolored images, I reached for my Stampin’ Blends to add a little color to the leaves and petals. Here’s a card I shared last week with the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle, showcasing a different side of this amazing bundle (you can click on the photo if you would like to see my original post for this project):
• Background and Inside. The background panel of Evening Evergreen gives these flowers the background they need to really pop. The panel needed a little something extra so I used the watercolor image that can be used to add color to the largest flower in this set to add a little texture to the background. I stamped the image over and over with Soft Succulent ink so it’d be subtle – no reason to steal focus from these gorgeous flowers! Here’s a closer look: I tried something new (to me) when coloring these flowers – I left some white space on the petals to give them a gorgeous, watercolored effect. I have tried to do this several times, but I always decide to completely color in the images. And how beautiful is this sentiment that I punched with the Double Oval Punch (now back in stock)? I stamped the image from the front of the card on the inside of the card to pull these flowers right off the front of the card to the inside:
• Color Combination. My card features four of Stampin’ Up!’s 2021-2023 In Colors – the only one that’s missing from this card is Polished Pink. Here’s a look at all five of the amazing, new In Colors: While Evening Evergreen plays such an important role in this card (the image and sentiment are stamped with this rich green, and there are two large panels of Evening Evergreen), it’s the soft colors in the flower that make for a soft, sweet color combination. If you like this mix of Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
