Today’s sweet-and-simple birthday card showcases two current products that are carrying forward into Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog – the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog and Hey Birthday Chick from the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. They work together to create an adorable belated birthday greeting. How fun! Here’s my card:
I thought the balloons looked great over the sentiment, but then I had to – just had to – add the adorable birthday chick. It adds a little whimsy to this fun card, don’t you think?
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Hey Birthday Chick. When you need a belated birthday card for someone special, you start with this sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays – I adore the unexpected whimsy of the “little-bit-late” between the familiar birthday wishes. The Happiest of Birthdays stamp set is available now and will continue to be available throughout the next year (yay!), but you probably need it now, so… Here’s a look at this set: Β
The trio of balloons and adorable chick are pulled from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set and cropped with the coordinating Birthday Chick Dies. While both the stamp set and dies will be available in the upcoming annual catalog, the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle (a special promotion that kicked off in February) is only available with bundled savings through June 30. Here’s a look at this fun bundle: 
- Sprinkled Confetti & White Leggings. I was prepared to add another chick from the set to the card, but then decided to totally remove the chicks. That little guy, though, couldn’t be scrapped, so he got added back. Let’s take another look at how adorable this chick is:
As I’m preparing this post (and after the card has already left my house), I realize that I left his little feet bare. I’m going to just say he was wearing white leggings. The celebratory confetti backdrop for this sentiment, balloons and chicks is actually sprinkles from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this pack of paper: 
- Colorful Trio. The balloons on my card are colored with three Stampin’ Blends: Light Daffodil Delight, Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Bermuda Bay. The colors aren’t pulled from the Designer Series Paper sprinkles, but “they go” with it. π Here’s a closer look:
