Have I ever mentioned how much I love how Stampin’ Up!’s products coordinate so perfectly? I’m pretty sure I have. π Yesterday I shared adorable gift boxes I created for some very special people (you can read about those projects here). While there was a little gift in each box, I also made a 3″ x 3″ that coordinates with the outside of the gift box. That additional coordination (whether the colors, images or patterns coordinate) make the entire gift so special for the recipient. Here’s the card that accompanied the gift box:
The flower on the front of my card is stamped with Poppy Parade ink on Poppy Parade cardstock for a delicate tone-on-tone look. I love the subtle effect of these flowers against the brilliant, bright backdrop of the focal panel. While I didn’t showcase this particular stamp image on the front of the gift box, I did showcase one of the vibrant flowers from the new stamp set. Here’s a look at the Flowers of Friendship bundle:
Not only does the flower on the card offer a callback to the box design, but I used the same paper from the gift box on my card. There’s just a tiny peek of this paper with beautiful, bold stripes behind the Poppy Parade Panel. The Pattern Party Designer Series Paper is a pack of 48 sheets of BRILLIANT designs offered as a host reward in the new catalog. For just $18 Stampin’ Rewards (rewards are earned on orders over $150), this pack of papers can be yours:
The “congratulations” sentiment on the white band across my 3″ x 3″ card is from the new Hand-Penned Petals stamp set, new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog. It’s not a standout stamp from the set, but “congratulations” is always a great sentiment to have on-hand. I accented the card with three of the clear gems from the Elegant Faceted Gems – I love these guys! While these gems were featured in Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog, they are carrying forward into the 2021 Annual Catalog. Yay! Here’s a look at the Elegant Faceted Gems:
Here’s a closer look at the role these gems play in my card:
You may have already noticed this, but I gave the envelope a quick stamp with Poppy Parade ink, repeated this subtle image on the card inside.
I hope you enjoy this project – it was fun to make and fun to share.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Darling little 3×3 card. Love the bright happy colors.
Thanks, Kadie! Doesn’t get more happy than Poppy Parade – am I right?!
Iβm so impressed with your eye for coordination. The sweet card that accompanies the box featured yesterday coordinates perfectly. Well done!
Thanks so much, Sharon! That’s one of the best things about making all of this stuff with Stampin’ Up! products – we have so many options to coordinate. Yay! Thanks!
The tone on tone is definitely a different creative look ! I like it ! Such a cute gift ! I think I need some of these cute boxes before they are gone !!
Sorry to tell you they are already gone, Sonny! Glad you like the little card, though. You can still make that. β₯
What a sweet and lovely gift/card combination you have come up with!
I love the bright colors because they scream ‘HAPPY’ all over the place.
As always a fantastic showcase for today. Thanks Brian.
Thanks so much, Grace! I had fun making this and kept it sweet and simple, which always works best for me – things get out of control when I steer away from simple. π
Well, the cute boxes are gone (just like you said )but I still like your decorative tops idea !
Ah! You beat me to the punch (just responded to your first comment). β₯
Your card screams FUN. I absolutely love it!
Thanks so much, Katrina! I love a 3″ x 3″ – it forces us to keep things simple. π
