Happy for You with Pretty Perennials

I love the art of making cards – there’s something exciting about making something special with some inks, papers, stamps and accessories. Occasionally, I also enjoy designing gifts for special friends. Today I’m sharing a collection of Mini Paper Pumpkin boxes I made with a variety of incredible floral products. Here’s a look:

Pretty Perennials, Penned Flowers Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingEach of these Mini Paper Pumpkin boxes is covered with a soft, sweet panel of paper from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. Rather than showcase the beautiful, multi-colored patterns that define this collections of papers, I used the single-colored back side of each page. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper:

Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 155499For my boxes, I used papers that are Blushing Bride, Pale Papaya, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Mint Macaron. Each of these soft colors looks great with Night of Navy, so I chose Night of Navy to accent each project.

The die-cut flowers on each box are cropped from the Penned Flowers Dies, part of the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle – I love this little die. Here’s a look at the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle:

The sentiments on the boxes are pulled from the retiring Pretty Perennials stamp set. This bundle will go away on June 30 or when supplies run out – don’t wait if you want this one! I love the curves of the “happy” in this set – while there are a lot of great dies in this bundle, there’s no die to crop out this fun word. As such, I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut out a page of the word. I heat embossed “for you” on Night of Navy cardstock and cropped it to fit with the “happy.” Here’s a look at the Pretty Perennials Bundle:

Since I made five Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes for five different gifts, I grabbed a photo of each:

I accented each box with a trio of Night of Navy rhinestone basic jewels from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Such a fun embellishment for each box.
