Today’s card features so many new products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog – without trying, the card showcases three new stamp sets, a new Designer Series Paper and one of the new In Colors (ink, paper and embellishment). Can you name them all? Of course you can! ♥ Here’s my card:
My card is a CASE of a project by Steffi Helmschrott, a designer on the Global Design Project design them. Here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card:
When we CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit), we find inspiration in a project – theme, color combinations, layout, products used – and create our own project by making changes to make it our own. When CASEing, it’s important to give credit to the original designer – it doesn’t take away from your project at all.
It’s easy to see where Steffi’s beautiful project inspired me. Like Steffi, I layered a beautiful image over a watercolored image. In addition, I mimicked the layout of Steffi’s card with strips of Designer Series Paper along the edges and a sentiment across the front of the card. I also added a little bling for some added excitement.What great inspiration!
The focal panel on my card starts with a large watercolor circle I stamped with the the circle image in the Watercolor Shapes stamp set. Here’s a look at this versatile stamp set:
I stamped the circle with Pale Papaya ink. As I started to build the layers on my card, I thought the circle looked very light, so I turned the stamp, inked it up and then stamped it again. Here’s a closer look:
I stamped the large flower from Hand-Penned Petals with Misty Moonlight over the Pale Papaya circle. I just love this bundle – the stamps and dies are all quite amazing. Here’s a look at the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle:
I added three tiny Pale Papaya jewels from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to add a little shine and tie-in the Pale Papaya color. These jewels quickly went on backorder when the catalog launched, but they are available again – a great complement to your In Color goodies. Here’s a look at the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels: 
The focal panel on my card is cropped with a Stitched Rectangles Die and layered over a Misty Moonlight panel from the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this incredible pack of papers:

The Watercolor Shapes was one of the first sets I bought from the new catalog. I love the way they create “shaded” areas all on their own. Your card for today is fabulous and your take on the design just beautiful.
