When Stampin’ Up!’s second Sale-a-Bration of 2021 kicked off in August, nearly every one of the offerings jumped off the page and begged me to choose it – they all wanted to come live with me in the Fungeon. One product that didn’t enthusiastically jump at me was the Feels Like Home stamp set, so I didn’t initially pick it up. Once I started watching my customers choose this stamp set as their free gift with a $50 purchase, though, I decided to give it a try – and I’m glad I did. Here’s my simple card with the Feels Like Home stamp set:
Most of the cards I’ve seen with the Feels Like Home stamp set feature a lot of water coloring or coloring with markers. I love to color as much as the next person, but I am also very happy to achieve a beautiful look on a detailed image like this without a lot of work. I simply stamped the scene with Early Espresso on Sahara Sand cardstock and cropped it with a Stitched Rectangles Die. Here’s a look at the Feels Like Home cling stamp set that can be selected with a $50 order (before shipping and taxes) between now and September 30:
It’s a really gorgeous scene, isn’t it?! Be sure to check out the wonderful sentiments in the set, too! I chose to adorn my card with the “Your friendship feels like home to me” sentiment. I punched it out with the Double Oval Punch and positioned it along the right side of the image. Here’s a closer look:
Behind my focal panel, I added a panel of Sahara Sand that I embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I love the distressed look that this embossing folder that’s new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog – you can see SOME words in the embossing panel, but they are mostly unrecognizable. If you missed this incredible embossing folder on page 55 of the Mini Catalog, you can check it out here:
There’s a lot of brown on my card. Between Sahara Sand and Early Espresso, the tones are rich and neutral. I added a little panel of Pool Party below the Focal Point to add a little color – and what color looks better with browns? If you like this mix of Sahara Sand, Pool Party and Early Espresso as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Stamp Sets: Feels Like Home Papers: Sahara Sand, Pool Party, Early Espresso, Thick Basic White Inks: Early Espresso Accessories: Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, Double Oval Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals
What do you think? Did you pass over this stamp set, too, because you thought it might be too difficult to color? What do you think about it showcased in neutrals?
Thanks for stopping by today!

Thank you for making this card Brian. Love it. I felt the same way about this stamp set. Now I know how to use it in my class.
That itsy bitsy pop of Pool Party. Perfect!
Love the texture you added behind and pop of blue! Sweet card!
I too wasn’t fond of this SAB set……but you have changed my mind on getting it. Nicely Done Brian.
I just placed an order an this is the set I chose over more DSP. I have all of the other sets already as well. I can’t wait to try it now!
Love this!
Such a beautiful, nostalgic card Brian. Love it!
Isn’t it funny how one stamp set that was “eh”…turns out to be a perfect choice? I too, was on the fence about this one, but since I had multiples of most everything else in the SAB catalog, I thought I might as well bring this one home too. You have really made a beautiful card with it, as always. I love the pop of Pool Party and the little sentiment is such a warm greeting. I haven’t played with this set yet, but I will now. Thanks for the inspiration!
This is such a sweet card, Brian. I love the color combination, the embossing folder, and the stamp set with the sweet sentiments. Beautiful…I say beautiful!! Enjoy your weekend.
Gorgeous card Brian
I haven’t used this stamp yet, and I’ve been wondering how – love love your early Expresso on Sahara Sand with that pop off pool party – it’s excellent!
Would you mind if I cased it and showed it on my blog here in 🇨🇦?
