When I wasn’t sure what project to make for today’s post, I looked back to the Fun Halloween Color Combinations I shared yesterday. What a great place to start! If you missed that post, which offers suggestions for building a fun Halloween color scheme, you can CLICK HERE. Using one of those color combinations, I created a simple card with two great stamp sets that I’m happy to share with you today. Here’s my card:
My card combines two stamp sets that are great must-haves for all sorts of occasions. I built a fun background with the Textures & Frames Photopolymer stamp set, one of the items you can choose with a $50 order (before shipping and handling) during Sale-a-Bration that runs through September 30. Here’s a look at this great stamp set:
I stamped the solid circles with Pale Papaya ink and the open circles with Highland Heather, soft and sweet colors for Halloween. I stamped them off once on a piece of scrap paper before stamping them down to build the background on this card. I then layered on a bunch of bats and stars from the Little Delights stamp set. Here’s a closer look at the background on this card:
Here’s a look at this versatile Little Delights stamp set:
How cute is this set?! It’s perfect for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween and other times of year. I’ve really enjoyed playing with this set. If you missed the 5-card collection I made for you last month, you can click on the image below to read more about this project:
I love the combination of colors on this card – while there are still spooky images on the card (there are A LOT of bats flying around), they are a bit less spooky with soft, sweet colors. If you like this mix of Pale Papaya, Highland Heather and Gray Granite as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

Marvelous use of the Textures and Frames stamp set!
I love how muted the colors are so the images almost look like shadows. Really great card!
Stamping your own background is very clever. The soft colors make it pretty. Enjoy your day!
Oh Brian – When I looked at todays card I thought “gee, I don’t remember seeing that DSP”. I should have known better. Of course our Brian would make his own gorgeous background. I think you should be working for SU as a DSP designer. Fantastic card today.
What a GREAT background Brian. You seem to always AMAZE me with FUN SURPRISES. This technique is a KEEPER.
Soft and sweet!
Can we say super cute and super clever?! I love the combination of these two stamp sets for this card!
Cute card. I love the background you created. I looked at that Texture and Frames and wasn’t sure what I would do with it. Thanks for the inspiration.
